If you're using Firefox and you're looking for this kind of functionality, check out the extension called DownloadHelper. It does the same thing (for free, everyday), plus also downloads videos from lots of other sites too.
After downloading the same video from youtube with both this program and the Firefox add-on I've previously been using and comparing the videos, I noticed a slightly lower quality of video and significantly lower quality audio with this program. I also found the process of downloading a video inconvenient. You have to either copy and paste the url into the program or you had to surf youtube with an annoying opaque download logo floating around the upper right corner of the screen so as to be able to drag and drop the videos onto the logo to begin the downloading. I didn't even bother looking at the other features as this program was obviously not going to work for me. So thanks GaotD but no thanks, I'll stick to my free add-ons.

Just saying it is better doesn't make it so.

I am puzzled why today's program doesn't offer to grab the high quality MP4 video versions, instead of merely converting the poor FLV flash movie. Converting a flash movie can never give as good a result, as the original MP4 version, which YouTube (almost) always will offer at the same time.
The free '1-Click YouTube Batch Downloader' from http://www.eurekr.com/download.html will grab all movies from a user's profile, with just one click. And just as important in this case, it will grab the high quality MP4 version, as default, if you like it to.
I've always found the easiest way to do this doesn't require extra software, updates, or upgrades
For example take a URL to a standard YouTube video.
eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wd4WZ3LqCKw
Then add "kiss"
http://www.KISSyoutube.com/watch?v=wd4WZ3LqCKw
Then click one of the buttons to get to FLV or MP4 files.
Sure it's not convenient if you want to queue up a hundred videos to download - but for adhoc downloads - or to download so you can watch uninterrupted (because your net is slow) this site is a winner!

OK, das der Key in der Registry zu finden ist habe ich schon vermutet. Nur leider bin ich zu blöd den zu finden:( Wärst du so freundlich und würdest einen Anfänger eine Anleitung schicken?

Ach Georgie, nun wein doch nicht gleich. Immerhin konntest du schon "Registered!" von einer Zahlenfolge unterscheiden. Es geht doch! Und dieses Wörtchen "Registered!" ist in unserem Fall die Serial Number. Gut, gell?

Der Key war, wenn auch nicht gaaanz so einfach, in der Registry zu finden. Das "WIE" ist mit wenigen Worten allerdings nicht zu beschreiben.

Bevor du derart unqualifiziert Kommentare schreibst, solltest Du zunächst prüfen ob das was Du schreibst überhaupt richtig ist. Wenn Du einmal an der Stelle geschaut hättest die Du empfiehlst, dann wäre Dir sicher nicht entgangen, dass anstelle der Serial Number eben keine steht sondern lediglich "Registered!". Bevor Du andere überheblich als Anfänger betitelst, solltest Du dich vielleicht einmal daran erinnern, dass Du auch einmal in dieser Position warst.
Ausserdem kann, so clever wie Du zu glauben scheinst, nun mal nicht jeder sein.

Also ich bin jetzt wirklich kein Nörgler und es ist sicher gut gemeint mit dieser Trial, aber mal Hand aufs Herz, wer würde denn dieses Produkt heute noch kaufen...für 24.95...wenns richtig gut wäre, ja, aber heutzutage gibts diese Proggis ja gratis, und auch besser, um nur Tubebox zu nennen, und zwar kann ich dort downloaden von Metacafe über MyVideo bis hin zu dailymotion und Clipfish...
Das zu verkaufen - absolut nicht zeitgemäß!

@Witwe Bolte: Wenn man neben einem VISTA und XP-Rechner auch noch einen WIN98-Rechner besitzt und nicht weg gibt, so wird das seine Gründe haben! z.B. Betreuung alter peripherer Systeme, welche nur unter DOS oder WIN98 als OS ansprechbar sind!
Weiters lies einmal, was bei der Zeile Systemanforderungen steht,
falls ich der deutschen Sprache mächtg bin, so steht dort auch WIN98!

meine Güte, was seid ihr für Anfänger. Nachdem activate.exe aktiviert wurde, geht ihr auf Menü "Help", "Enter Serial Number", und was steht da?? Im Übrigen sollten Leute wie ihr der Registry lieber fernbleiben. So, und jetzt könnt ihr wieder aufheulen.

Gutes Programm, wie bereits gesagt, es gibt entsprechende Freeware auch, aber naja.
Das heutige Giveaway ist flott, sieht gut aus, ist auch sehr praktisch.
Gute Alternative zu den Freewaren.

Nun gut. Wer sowas noch nicht kennt, dem ist mit dem Programm sicherlich geholfen. Doch alle Anderen, die sich in der Materie ein wenig auskennen, wissen, daß es weitaus bessere Angebote gibt.
Vor allem im Freewaresektor.
Aber dennoch als Fazit:
Anfänger im Gebiet YouTube und Videos umwandeln, sollten auf jeden Fall zugreifen.
