This GAOTD is probably the best cheaper alternative to Photoshop ever created so far, since it sports an impressive number of advanced features designed to draw pictures, edit, resize & rotate your photos, perform color correction & synthesis photos, type text on the photo, cut, copy & paste photos, sharpen/blur photos, remove red-eye & dust etc... and much more.
It works great on Net-books and laptops or on virtual machines (vmware, virtual box, virtual pc etc.) since it uses a very low RAM & CPU usage.
The bottom line is that similar advanced features can only be found in professional and damn expensive apps such as Photoshop!!

Installed and registered on a Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system without problems. It installs a 64bit software in my case.
A Korean company, founded in 2009, with an address and focusing on graphics software. At least not a company "we make everything, which we can sell".
A real Swiss army knife of photo manipulation and creation of raster graphics (remember CorelDraw?). Many features included layers, styles and a quick image viewer.
Despite of the capabilities, a small and lightweight program, which occupies about 150 megs of my memory.
If I would test all the features, I would post my report next week.
The program has a limited set of build in filters, but, what a pity!, you cannot add additional Photoshop filters.
Make sure to visit the "design center"! Good links for the one, looking for additional tools. That's good.
Obviously a software, which has use to everybody. The learning curve is a little bit steep, but when you are familiar with layers, styles and text manipulation, you can master this excellent piece of software in short time.

Braucht lange zum Laden eines Bildes. 'Rückgängig' oft nicht verfügbar. Sehr billige Filter, die wenig können. Hm, da kann man auch gleich das völlig kostenlose Paint.NET benutzen:

Für Anfänger reicht das Teil völlig aus. Einfach mit dem Namen frei schalten und gut ist. Der anspruchsvolle User wird sicherlich ein Profitool verwenden. $50 sind wohl wieder maßlos übertrieben.

habe in der registry die Serien-Nr- bzw. Schlüssel gefunden, aber 'registration failed'...Er will eine Datei 'StylePixPro.key' - und die finde ich nicht. Allerdings - ist nicht so schlimm - bin nicht überzeugt von dem, was ich bis jetzt sehe.

Ich raff's ned. Angeblich habe ich es mit "activate.exe" aktiviert. Das Programm selber ignoriert das jedoch und hat sich in den 30 Tage Testmodus geschaltet. Eine Seriennummer finde ich zwar in der Registry, aber von der will das Programm nichts wissen, es verlangt ein key-File.

So etwas wie Photoshop für Arme, abernicht schlecht.
Die Serienummer/Registrierungsdaten findet ihr, wenn ihr in eurer Registry nach "Hornil" sucht und den entsprecheden Schlüssel betrachtet.
Die Übersetzung ist teilweise witzig, aber völlig problemlos zu korrigieren, da im Programmverzeichnis eine German.txt-Datei ist (im Ordner Languages), die einfach editiert werden kann.

Da gibt es überhaupt keine Seriennummer dazu sondern nen Activator.
Und das Tool ist ganz ok. Erinnert eher an Photoshop, als Gimp.
Die dt. Übersetzung wurde aber wohl auch über Google gemacht. Da wird der Ruler (=Lineal) zum Herrscher ^^

Nach den Screenshots auf der Hersteller-HP zu urteilen gleicht dies mehr einem "Malkasten" mit dem man Fotos beschmieren kann als einer ernstzunehmenden Bildbearbeitung. Na ja, der Kindergarten wird sich freuen...

Der erste eindruck..., es erinnert mich stark an "GIMP Freeware".
Dank Deutscher Oberfläche findet man(n)sich gut zurecht.
Auf der Homepage gibt es für Hornil StylePix Pro auch tutorial material. Wer bei dem download noch zögert, sollte es doch mal runterladen und sich ansehen.
