Well, if you need a tool to create tutorials, e-learning courses and How-To videos, this GAOTD does this job pretty well: can capture windows by hidden or partially visible captions, with built-in on-screen markup tools designed to add text, lines, arrows, frames, highlights and even circles over an object of your tutorials, so as to make them more appealing, clearer and easier to understand for your audience.
It's also able to add WATERMARKS over images in real time, applying different transparencies for it, as well as record what you see & hear from YouTube, Skype (chats, video conferences etc...), Webinars, WebCam chats etc... saving the output as an AVI file.
So overall, for what it does, I give it a THUMBS UP and highly recommend it to all of you (after all updates should not be necessary in the short-medium terms), even though an easier GUI would have been a better option for the average Joe users out there.

When I did, my key appeared instantly into my Hotmail inbox.
So how does this one work? Well I did not try all of the features but I tried the screen capture and that worked pretty well. I am sure you can find alternatives both free and paid for each element of this program. I may be wrong but I don't believe there are many alternative that can combine all of the components of this program. For that reason, this will be a keeper for me. Thank you to the GOTD team and to FileStream.
Simplify registration process. Why do you collect phone number and adresses?
To all: Just because dadams said "my key appeared instantly..." into his email box, doesn't mean that it will happen to you. I'm still waiting for mine.
OK. Received key in mail 20 minutes later. Don't have time to fully test this now, but be aware of one thing: even though you "close" the program, it still keeps "take1rec.exe" running silently in the background. You'll see it in Windows Task manager.

wenn's überhaupt nicht geht , Versuchs doch mal mit einen anderen Anbieter (Yahoo , oder irgend einen anderen. Dann wird es wohl gehen. Ist mir schon zweimal passiert !!!! E-Mail Anbieter gewechselt und Sofort Passwort erhalten!! anderen E-Mail Anbieter und alles ist OK!!!

Habe es nochmal installiert und habe das Häckchen bei 'Starte Programm' angehakt gelassen (zum Schluß der Installation).
DANN HAT ES GEKLAPPT. (Wird in den Tray geschlossen)
Dann auch mit der Desktop-Verknüpfung.

@ No.2: Aufnehmen kannste sicher, gucken auch, aber mit dem Hören wirste wohl Probleme bekommen... es sei denn, es nimmt auch intern direkt Musik/Töne auf!

Um die kostenlose Vollversion freizuschalten, muss man sich zunächst auf der Herstellerseite kostenlos registrieren. Anschließend muss man eine Email ohne Betreff oder Inhalt an die Adresse ppss@filestream.com senden, um innerhalb des 24-Stunden-Aktionszeitraums den Registrierungsschlüssel per Email zugesandt zu bekommen. Bei der Installation der Software gibt man den erhaltenen Code ein, um die Freischaltung abzuschließen.

Wenn ich mir #3 und gleichlautende Kommentare auf der US-Seite durchlese und noch dazu die "Postanschrift" der Firma (Briefkasten), dann fällt mir echt kein Grund ein mich mit diesem "Recorder" näher zu befassen.
Wahrscheinlich kommt dann gegen Abend wieder ein Kommentar:

Also ich bekomme das Passwort nicht zugeschickt, Spam-Ordner ist gecheckt. Echt traurig, wenn eine Software geschützt werden soll (hab kein Problem damit), dann sollte man aber die Technik auch beherrschen und legale User nicht noch mehr ärgern... Schade !
