Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system. The program comes self-registered.

A real family company from Ukraine with a short history, family photo and address. Founded in 2009, we had had this software the first time on August, 2010 - up to now seven versions.

This gives confidence in the product - with real awards and link to the award sites.

They claim : Our major application - AllMyNotes Organizer, we are aiming it as the best Evernote alternative. Oh' this is a big claim, let's see...

A modern interface opens, on the left side the notes tree, on the right side an editor for notes. You can define all details, including changing the skin in the options.

For the text input, the main languages for spell checking are included. If this is not sufficient, you can choose other dictionaries including Irish or Thai. You can add pictures or documents, you'll have a very good search tool. Works as claimed.

This software is portable, too - like the previous version. That's good. Just copy the programs directory to your USB stick.

A well designed software, the long evolution is visible - in a "mature" state of development...

A good notekeeper. But compared to Evernote. A big BUT!

In today's time, it is missing the synchronization. For me crucial. Synchronization of notes with my other computers, synchronization with a calender. It is and remains an isolated stand alone product. Perfect for those, who just want this. For the others Evernote is the better alternative.

If you have security issues and questions: This is really the better alternative to Evernote! In this case...

A good and reliable software. If you want keep your notes privately, with encryption and far away from the I-net, take this.

I continue to use Evernote...

I would disagree with "better". I opened my free Evernote account in 2008 and every day add to my tons of clips or copied notes. Three years ago I got a free All My Notes, here I think. EV is handy and worthy. AMN is far more than that. For instance, I am finished my second highly technical book of 300+ pages and AMN gets massive credit. What is not being brought out here is how AMN can prepare hundreds (or thousands) of tid-bits (or lengthy pages) of information, instantly resort it ten different ways if/as needed (including label colors---which are easily changed) and export the raw data into a RTF file that MSWord easily polishes into a book. AMN also exports data as HTML for web work.

And here is more icing on the cake: I can highlight text notes in EV and simply drag the material over to AMN. The same highlight/drag works with the Chrome browser. Both EV and AMN allow dragging text notes into a Gmail email, a double blessing.

Yes, your "better" caught my eye. I am going to try the three programs you mention, but I have trouble visualizing that anything can beat All My Notes. I am a huge uncompensated fan.

2 XP-Man (#2) and Giovanni (#5): It’s not quite correct to say that Evernote or Zotero is better. It's like to compare Chevrolet Camaro and armored Caterpillar D9R. And everyone can decide for himself which "car" corresponds to which app, to their dream "car" better. For example, some people find it important to reach their data everywhere and are ready to compromise data privacy, others find that friendly interface is important, etc. etc. etc. So look yourself, every app is unique, need to decide to yourself which one is better. We've implemented number of unique features in AllMyNotes that we find them valuable, hope you’ll enjoy them.
