PROS:

Summary:– Program does as described – thanks, GOTD and Aiseesoft.
I have tried more than 5 similar kinds of software. I have to admit that this one is the most powerful. It can convert the DVD and any video to MP4 with outstanding output quality.
The so often used (GPL) FFmpeg encoder which is included in this program has already been updated beyond what Aiseesoft provides here.
Therefore the encoding lacks the new VP8 format that can be expected from many other FFmpeg based front-ends.
Also the DVD ripping is based on GPL (VideoLan) and therefore not a unique feature for Aiseesoft.
Maybe it is the combination of different open-source projects, but i don't see the reason why Aiseesoft charges $39, their own addition to the program is just the GUI really. I can only hope they provide really good support for the components they took from the open-source shelves.

und mit deinem schnellen sys win98 bist du gut bedient,
darum ist es auch besser wenn du hier von der site nichts runter ladest

Nur deswegen habe ich mein Prinzip jetzt gebrochen: nichts herunterzuladen was ich nicht unbedingt auch brauchen kann.
Hier denk ich jetzt einfach mal, nichts falschgemacht zu haben, sowas mal für'n Eventualfall auf Halde zu haben.

Schon wieder ein Converter? Ja, aber ein guter und gegen gute habe ich nichts, also Daumen rauf. Man kann sehr viel einstellen, wenn man will, man muß dazu zunächst im Hauptfenster ein Profil wählen, kann das dann unter dem Button Settings gut einstellen und auch abspeichern. Nicht schlecht Herr Specht - oder Frau :-)

So nun mal mein Senf dazu:
Plus +++ :
- Das Programm läßt sich leicht bedienen und man kommt mit wenigen Clicks zum Ziel
- Das Ergebnis ist qualitativ vollkommen in Ordnung
- Ein automatischer Shutdown wird unterstützt
- Viele gängige Formate werden unterstützt (vorgefertigte Profile)
Minus --- :
- Mein Quadcore wird bei der Umwandlung nicht voll benutzt. Das kann Media-Recode besser oder Nero Recode in der Version ab 9.0 (ich nehme trotzdem 7.x und bin schneller)
- Der Filmtitel wird nicht automatisch benamst. Also nicht "Filmname.mp4" sondern "titel_01.mp4" (hier bitte Namen des Ausgangsordners einbauen, wie bei Nero Recode)
- Das Prgramm arbeitet langsamer als Nero Recode ( gefühlt braucht Nero 1/2 der Zeit)
- Nur ein DVD/Video-File bearbeitbar
Von mir einen Daumen zur Seite mit Tendenz nach unten.
Für einzelne Filme ist das Tool ok. Sollte ich aber mehrere Filme konvertieren wollen, geht für nichts über Nero Recode (V7) oder XMedia Recode.
Gefallen hat mir dennoch, die einfache Bedienbarkeit und das gute Ergebnis. Ein wenig fehlte mir die Einstellbarkeit als Experte.
Fazit:
Wer Nero Reocde hat, braucht nicht wechseln - also Deinstallation des Tools. Wer nur gelegentlich Filme konvertiert, kann dieses kostenlose Angobot nutzen.
