I didn't try everything out.
But it installed just fine on my netbook without a dvd drive.
Then I connect drive
And I burn data disc.
My only bitch is there should be more of a drag/drop way of organizing things, I barely burned 1/4th of my disc thinking I filled the whole 4.7G I wasn't even close.
So this app in my opinion needs a basic drag and drop interface, which doesn't need a disc in the drive to play with. I don't know, I get it, it's not nero, but the questioning each step as opposed to leaving settings dumped somewhere..
If all you are trying to do is get data off a disc with no complexity, this is great, small, and so far burned one out of one for me, when I didn't really want to install the whole insanity of NERO and it's services and debugging for the system stability, anyway. You know what I mean.
To me, SMALL download is the main feature here. It works on my itty bitty netbook so what can I say, thumbs up. I had ZERO problems.
The registration goes nice and easy with the activation code already provided in the readme file. No need for e-mails. The interface layout is very simple and easy to use. If you just need the burning basics, nothing fancy, you can try this program. What i miss though is the option to copy an entire disk with one click.

Of course it does DVD's but it also will do BluRays if you have a BluRay burner.
According to the website it creates movie DVD's so I'm going to download this and try it out, and will report later if I have time.

Eine Freeware-Alternative ist CDBurnerXP http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
Trotz des "XP" im Namen ist es ausdrücklich geeignet bis hin zu Windows 8. Dieses Programm spricht deutsch und liegt auch als 64-Bit Version vor (auf der Homepage suchen nach "Mehr Downloadmöglichkeiten"). Von den Funktionen kann es mehr als locker mit dem hier gebotenen mithalten.

kann es sein, dass Du ein Update gemacht hast? Dann ist es kein Wunder. GAOTD-Programme sind NIE updatefähig. Steht immer direkt über den Kommentaren.

@4 miller: Der Kommentar sollte sich auf die aktuelle Software beziehen. Wenn Du Beschwerden hast, dafür gibt es entweder Foren oder unten auf der Seite ein Kontaktformular. Da Du aber ja anscheinend das Kleingedruckte nicht liest 8siehe Dein Problem), hast Du es sicher nicht bemerkt.

This is my second comment on this forum. I dont understand how some of you react and comment the GAOTD present. Its firstly not easy to recrute 365 Sw apps each year. secondly theres nobody which forces you to pick the present.
Nevertheless, I think its a strategic fault of GAOTD to pack the presents in this themata whatsoever.
I experienced two heavy crashes, one on my laptop(graphic chip died) and another one on my pc-tower where I had to reanimate win7 and it stole me the data partition.
So I dont pick any present if it cant be installed by the original setup. Its simply to dangerous.
But you can download RecordMax Burning Studio 6.0.1 from the vendor and install it using the key in the readme.txt.
Thats all. By the way my native lang is German but I thought it could be more easily be understood this way.

Da die Kommentarfunktion zu diesem Programm inzwischen deaktiviert ist, hier meine massive Beschwerde:
Statt der angebotenen "Vollversion Deluxe" stellt sich diese jetzt auf die limitierte Freeversion mit stark eingeschränktem Funktionsumfang um. Eine beschränkte Laufzeit wurde mit keiner Zeile erwähnt!
Der User hat nunmehr die Wahl, die Vollversion käuflich zu erwerben, um seine Notizen weiterzubearbeiten rsp zu retten. Oder er hat Pech gehabt.
Eine unglaubliche Schweinerei!!!

hallo aus thailand – 2. versuch meine infos unter die leute zu bringen – mein 1. kommentar (inkl direktlinks zum download) wurde (noch) nicht aufgeschaltet !? – an alle, die filme drehen muessen und noch was suchen : installiert den WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER version 2.6 (vista) oder den WINDOWS LIFE MOVIE MAKER 2011 oder 2012 – damit koennt ihr den film drehen, es stehen aber auch viele andere effekte zur verfuegung inkl speed x2 oder verlangsamen, den fil auf alt trimmen etc, schneiden, bearbeiten und exportieren (konvertieren) – (hab das heutige tool nicht ausprobiert, deshalb keine wertung) – wernee/thailand

Ein Brennprogramm der Spitzenklasse, natürlich mit deutscher Oberfläche, der Originaldownload beträgt 2,39 MB. Leider wird diesese Download durch die Themida-Schadsoftware auf 8,91 MB aufgeblasen. Daher bleibt diese Abgabe heute wieder dort wo sie ist. Daumen nach unten und natürlich vielen Dank!
