Very good software with advanced features to protect your even from keyloggers. It can easily encrypt selected files & folders with the most secure crypto algorithms loke Blowfish, 3Des, Gost, RC2, Twofish etc... , as well as create strong password against any kind of brute force attacks uou may suffer.
The only problem is that if you lose the GAOTD key you need to buy a license or at least to use the trial version of the program in order to retrieve your sensitive data.
So for this kind of programs, my suggestion is to use FREEWARE and OPEN SOURCE software, most of which are as good as this GAOTD (or even better).

My concern about such software is what will happen when the software accidently removed or when it expires after a year or so?
I use truecrypt and lastpass for these purposes. What will be the other features in this software?
As much as I appreciate the very principle of giveaways for non-vital software like graphics, music or video editors, maintenance etc. I consider, when it comes to encryption or secured backup, it very risky to rely on a program we can lose in a system crash, involuntary update etc. unless we have acknowledged and accepted that we might be literally FORCED one day into buying it to retrieve our data. Why not? But it is something that must be kept in mind.

Two comments:
1. The UI presumes a 100% DPI setting. If you are 65 or over, you likely are using a 125% DPI setting which will hide part of the UI, and will make it difficult to use the program.
2. The executable (PowerKey.exe) contains the comment "Powerkey is a handy memory optimizing tool that will keep your computer running faster and efficiently". That comment shows when you single-click the PowerKey icon on your desktop. This garbage is part of the TweakRAM executable, by the same software company. Rather messy.

Lass dich einfach mal vom Experten beraten, vielleicht ist sogar dir kleinem Forentroll noch zu helfen. Was glaubst du warum 70% der Daumen sich für die richtige Richtung entschieden haben? Getestet hast du das tool mit Sicherheit nicht - du Experte!!!

Warum so umständlich? Löschen, nur um die Serial händisch einfügen zu können, damit das Prograam sie wieder an die selbe Stelle schreiben kann?
Registry-Eintrag sichern für den Fall, daß alleinige Eingabe der Serial später nicht ausreicht (und man muß nicht separat aufschreiben, was man jederzeit mit dem Editor oder dem Lister vom TC einsehen kann). Dann bei Bedarf Trial oder Setup aus der GOTD-ZIP installieren.

Alternative: TrueTrypt, ist Quelloffen, sicher, auch für SSD Festplatten geeignet und dazu noch Freeware. Fazit: Wer es brauchen kann... ich kann getrost darauf verzichten und ich Denke andere Leute sind auch gut beraten besser gleich TrueCrypt (auch Portabel auf Stick verwendbar) zu nutzen.

ich sag ja nicht,das alles hier ok sei..aber statt zu posten,wieder mal Themida..dann poste doch mal Produkte,die ebenbürtig sind..so würden und nicht nur ich, mal überlegen,das von Dir erwähnte Tool zu nutzen..so..jammerste nur rum und das bringt keinen von den postern/lesern was..oder gibt es eine Liste von Produkte,die Themida frei sind ?????

Therefore if you want to use this software don't forget to download the trial at once!!! Sometimes downloads tend to be no longer available later on for different reasons.
But I haven´t verified if this trial works in this way!

Die Setup.exe heute mal nicht im Wrapper, nur die Activate.exe.
Also, wer später noch mal installieren will:
Erst activate.exe ausführen, dann aus der Registry (mit regedit) den Reg.Key (Seriennummer) auslesen. Aufschreiben!
Dann den Eintrag wieder löschen! Wichtig, sonst kommt später beim Start des Programms nicht die Eingabeaufforderung für den Reg.-Key.
Danach kann Setup.exe ausgeführt werden (dauerhaft, nur die Activate.exe ist auf heute beschränkt.)
Beim ersten Start des installierten Programms wird die Eingabe der Seriennummer verlangt. Diesen vorher aus der Registry ausgelesenen Key eingeben und fertig.

Die ersten 3 trollschwafeleien können getrost überlesen werden.
Wirkliche Experten wissen was gegen Keylogger wirksam ist und warum.
Das Programm ist für diesen Zeck besser als gar nichts und erüllt die Möglichkeiten die es dafür gibt.deshalb Danke dafür GOTD.

Wieder mal ein tool aus der Rubrik "gibt es wie Sand am Meer", hat im Original eine Downloadgröße von 1 MB, wird hier durch den Themidamops wieder auf 5,4 MB Schadsoft aufgeblasen, kostet $25 und versteht kein deutsch. Freut euch damit, Daumen runter und vielen Dank an den edlen Spender.

Jaaaa genau. ;-) Weil Tastaturbefehle ja bis zum eingabefeld verschlüsselt im System laufen, dort kurz entschlüsselt werden und dann nur durch das Programm entweder weiterhin verschlüsselt, oder entschlüsselt benutzt werden. :-D Oh wie super, ich habe selten so gelacht in letzter Zeit. :-D
