Photo-Lux ist ein leistungsstarker Bildbetrachter mit vielen Bildbearbeitungsfunktionen wie z.B. RGB-/Helligkeits-/Kontrast-/Gammakorrektur, automatischer Weißabgeich und Reduzierung des Rote-Augen-Effekts.
Es wird jeder vorstellbare Dateityp unterstützt, inklusive fast aller Kamera RAW-Formate. Außerdem kann man Slideshows und HTML-Fotoalben erstellen. Für JPEGs, TIFFs und RAWs wird EXIF-tag verwendet, um Bilder automatisch zu drehen.

After trying this program I found it to be a fairly basic photo editing program. I can honestly say that Photoscape has all this plus more and it's for free.
A GENERAL WORD OF CAUTION:During the installation of today's GAOTD program, all of your "image-rights" configurations are over-written. . . . In other words, this program (without ANY permission or authorization from the individual installing it) sets itself as your DEFAULT program to open all image-type files and more.Photo-Lux sets itself as the "Default" for these file types:1. all General Image files (gif, jpeg, tiff . . . etc)2. all Raw image files (J2K, ERF, MFF, etc)3. all Photoshop files (PSD, PDD, etc.) 4. all Windows Cursor files (CUR)5. all Windows Icon files (ICO, etc)6. all Raster files (TGA, TARGA, etc.)The program changed the permissions of over 40 of my files types, including several customizations that had been created for special editing of professional photography.Thumbs-Down to ANY program which takes it upon itself to steal file-permissions (other than files which are exclusive to the program itself). To me, this indicates a complete and total disregard for the user. Come on developers! . . . Do you honestly think that your users will stand for such behavior in today’s software world? I feel like I'm back in the '90s. The "customer" should be the LAST person you wish to upset, and this type of behavior instantly causes the user to become suspicious (and this was merely during the installation process!). It's 2010 now . . . and this type of problem should never (ever) happen with software of any type.Because of this behavior, the program was immediately un-installed and thrown in the trash.

ZPS is a photo studio, like it says, not an "extended image viewer", and costs much more.

I can honestly say that you haven't compared the two at all.

Image viewers/editors are all different, with different features. There's no harm in installing Photo-Lux, as long as you clear the file associations (you may need to right-click Photo-Lux and Run as Administrator), which it unfortunately appropriates at installation time, but it can restore them. While Photo-Lux has some interesting features, the UI is poor, and it's somewhat slow. You'll also need to test under what circumstances it modifies the original file. It does support a broad range of file types. ZPS supports a pretty broad range of file types. PhotoScape supports few file types, and is very slow. FastStone has a good UI, supports multiple monitors, and supports a fair number of file types, but not as many as Photo-Lux. IrfanView supports a large number of file types.
The question isn't which is "better", but which suits your needs at the moment. Would I pay for Photo-Lux? No, not considering all of the alternatives. Would I install it today? Yes, I did, because one of its features or file formats might be useful in the future.
Can anyone elaborate what this can do that Fast Stone Image viewer cannot do?
Yes I know this post is not that helpful , but then again the program I mention is what I use, and the functions that the giveaway mentions are very similar to what I use alternatively.

Gut gemachtes kompaktes Programm welches genau das macht was der Hersteller beschreibt. Wer sich mit der gewöhnungsbedürftigen Oberfläche nicht anfreunden kann hat genug Alternativen von Freeware bis hin zu Adobes Lightroom zur Auswahl.

Was ich bisher von dem Programm erkennen konnte ist, dass es bereits beim ersten öffnen schon, eine sehr gute Programmübersicht hat. Das einzige wo ich zustimme ist, dass in der Tat, der IrfanViewer eines der besten Programme ist, die ich kenne und dann auch noch kostenlos, das ist tatsächlich heutzutage, kaum zu glauben! Allerdings finde ich, gegen die meisten Programme absolut fähig, in der Konkurenz mit zuhalten.

dein Einwand schaut sehr spaßbefreit aus. Ich fand die Seite auch "kurdisch".
Ich könnte mir auch vorstellen, dass es sich um einen Buchstabendreher handelt und es "Krudsoft" heißen sollte.

Auch wenn es mittlerweile einige recht gute kostenlose Programme gibt, die praktisch das gleiche können, da es heute kostenlos ist, jedenfall einen Versuch wert.
Nicht unerwähnt sollte neben XnView auch der Ashampoo Photo Commander bleiben, den es mittlerweile auch kostenlos gibt. Ich bevorzuge jedenfalls vor allen anderen vergleichbaren Programmen das gute alte ACDSee, dass mir allen Unkenrufen zum Trotz immer sehr gute Dienste geleistet hat und an dem sich fast alle anderen Programme mehr oder eher weniger erfolgreich orientieren. Heute jedenfalls von mir ein Thumbs Up, weil Grafiksoftware hier eher seltenheitswert hat.

Außerdem nennt sich der Hersteller nicht etwa "KURDsoft", sondern "KUDRsoft". "Kudr" ist offenbar ein tschechischer Nachname.

Wie schon gestern-auch heute:
9.Total unnötig ist das Teil hier!Diese Funktionen sind in vieler deutschen Freewareprogrammen enthalten,die auch noch mehr als das hier können!Zum Beispiel: Paint.Net,GIMP etc!Und die sinnlosen Plusbewerter sollten mal PC-Kurs absolvieren!Und geschenkt wird hier einem garnix,kapiert das mal endlich!Es handelt sich hier nur um Werbung!Wer hier andere beschimpft als Meckerer sollte sofort zur VHS und sich dort für PC-Kurs anmelden!
So guck ich morgen wieder hier rein.

Optik der Programmoberfläche von Anno Tobak, Funktionen rudimentär, wirkt ein bisschen wie "Mutti guckma ich hab ein Programm gebastelt", krallt sich aber bei der Installation ohne erst zu fragen sämtliche Grafikdateien (= macht sich zur Standardanwendung). Das einzige wirklich überraschende ist der Preis: knapp 40 Steine (die zitierten 19,99 sind schon ein "Sonderangebot"). Bei sowas kann ich schon verstehen, dass die Entwickler sich nich trauen, ihre Namen und Adressen auf ihrer Website zu veröffentlichen. Naja, gab mir Gelegenheit, die neue Version von Revo Uninstaller zu testen.

Die Herstellerseite sieht echt billig und unseriös aus, irgendwie kurdisch. Daher werde ich die Software nicht ausprobieren.

Was kann das Programm, das Irfan View oder XN View nicht können?
(Auch wenn es nur 20$ kostet und heute frei ist, ist es eine Frechheit, für sowas Geld zu verlangen)

Eine überteuerte Variante des IrfanView, der absolut kostenlos zu haben ist..
Ich habe die heutige Software bereits getestet. Nicht vergleichbar, nicht mal im Ansatz vergleichbar mit IrfanView..
