One of the worst user interfaces. Breaks windows protocol by using its own "no value added" skins... and if you don't use 96dpi but have any form of scaled desktop, then the mouse does NOT respond to where the buttons should be! Truly poor programming. If the quality of the skin indicates the quality of what is BEHIND, then I wonder!
I revert back to PDFTools, which is free, and without bugs.
Tested it three times by trying to combine 2 separate PDF documents. Each time it opened the output folder and each time it had not combined my files, or even made a new file. I tested it twice with password protected PDFs, and once without password protection.
Thumbs down. Pity, it had decent potential. I also feel that $29 is way too much for such a basic program that doesn't even function

Very poor app with an ugly interface even if pretty useful especially for those like me working with PDfs on a daily basis...
...but.... 30$ for doing just one thing?? Come on... simply crazy!

Personally I prefer a tool (why not FREE & PORTABLE??) capable of doing the opposite operation, namely to split a multi-page PDF file to several PDF pieces in order to transfer or save some private info pages, rather than copy&paste the content:

Yes, it's true...with Giovanni wandering around, even the PDF utilities "field" looks like pretty much SATURATED nowadays, meaning there's no need to pay anything anymore (and GAOTD like this are useless if they don't have additional features to offer...): get the drift, dudes? LOL!

After combining the file by default goes to C:\output folder... but folder is empty after 2 successful try.
Where is the output .pdf file?
The price point on this software is (to be blunt) set ridiculously high for what amounts to nothing more than a single "feature".
There are many free and/or open source alternative programs out there that not only offer the ability to merge, but also burst, rotate, re-order, etc. . This program isn't worth the price of a used gum wrapper.
In the meantime. . .folks. . .here's a site with a great list of various Free pdf related applications that will allow you to merge files and much more.

übrigens wird pdf combine über avangate vertrieben und die sind weniger für gute produkte als vielmehr für "gute" abzocke bekannt (einfach mal googlen), also zahlen für nichts. so gesehen ist das heutige nichts für umsonst nen echt gutes angebot. aloha

Ordner mit PDF-Dateien geöffnet, werden alle schön aufgelistet, "Combine Now!" angeklickt und es erscheint schön der Fortschrittsbalken und der Ausgabeordner - ist LEER! Alle Daumen runter!!!

Es stimmt tatsächlich: Nachdem dieser Schrott beim ersten Versuch ein exotisches Dateiformat erzeugte, das kein PDF war, kam anschließend nur noch NICHTS als Ergebnis, also ein leerer Ordner. Schon beim Eingeben der Daten fällt aber auf, dass der Programmierer einen Schritt vergessen hat: Die neue "combine PDF" muss der Anwender mit einem neuen Namen versehen können. Hier gab es vor langer Zeit einmal den PDF Composer. Das Programm hat einen größeren Funktionsumfang, und alles läuft einwandfrei. Über das heutige Werbegeschenk kann man nur den Kopf schütteln. Wofür soll das Werbung machen?

@3: Vergleichst du immer Äpfel mit Birnen? Wenn man schon ein hier angebotenes Programm nicht testet, sollte man sich wenigstens die Beschreibung durchlesen, bevor man einen Kommentar abgibt.

Hab jetzt ne Version von PDFXchange Viewer. Geb ich nie mehr her, einfach nur klasse. Damit kann man wirklich alles machen. Hab danach die ganzen kleinen Pdf-Helferlein, die jeweils nur ein feature bedienen, gelöscht. Ein tolles Prog. Aber erstmal unter Ansicht alle Symbolleisten freigeben, dann klappts auch sofort mit dem Arbeiten.

hätte es gerne genutzt, grade wg. der möglichkeit, ein inhaltsverzeichnis zu erstellen, funktioniert aber gar nicht, obwohl ich die faq hinweise beachtet habe, schade

download und installation ohne probleme. beim öffnen meines pdf ordners zeigte es ein paar mal nen leeren ordner. nach 4 versuchen hats dan geklappt, da waren sie. scheiterte dann an nem schlichten "abc" passwort, soviel zu automatischer entschlüsslung. also 2 pdf's ohne pw versucht zu kombinieren - ging (angeblich) super schnell und problemlos. allerdings wo ist die fertige datei. der ordner "c:\output" ist zwar da, aber nix drin (auch nich als versteckte datei). also windows suche nach änderungsdatum - nichts. wow ein programm das ins nirgendwo kombiniert. leider hab ich von meinem pc keinen zugriff auf das nichts. obendrein ist die gui ziemlich verbugt. pdf combine vorn ars.. morgen bitte ein progamm das irgendwas tut, vorzugsweise ein "nichts zu irgendwas" konverter. aloha

Ein geniales Programm: Man kann ganze Ordner von .pdf-Dateien laden, einmal klick und es öffnet sich - ein leerer Ordner! Sowas wollte ich schon immer haben! Ein Programm, das für 30 Dollar ganz einfach NICHTS macht! Danke, danke, danke!!!
