Despite having the option not to install Babylon Toolbars, etc, this developers software "Soft4Boost Update Checker" forces the installation of "somoto" anyway, and does so without the users knowledge or consent - re-installs then change the available options because the installer users "BetterInstall" which will constantly change the goal-post's and bring up various different offers on subsequent installs. I'd steer clear of this developer if I were you.

I would rather use other freeware programs like ccleaner, Advanced SystemCare, etc.
Pros
*Cleans your registry, junk files, internet-related files (history, cache, cookies), empty folders, broken shortcuts, ‘corrupted applications’, and recycle bin
*Provide suggestions on how to fix ‘critical registry settings’ and how to ‘optimize computer settings
*Has a built-in defragger and a duplicate file finder.
*Has the ability to backup your registry and/or create a system restore point
*Has a schedule that allows you to set automatic cleaning to happen at X time every day, every three days, every week, or every two weeks
*Allows users to see what is going to be cleaned prior to the program actually doing the cleaning, giving users the ability to manually select not to clean specific things. In other words, a scan is conducted and you are shown the scan results prior to actual cleaning.
*Comes with eleven different ‘skins’ you can pick from

*Is extremely aggressive in cleaning, finding many (many) more registry errors and junk/temporary files than our beloved CCleaner
*Scans very slowly and takes a while to stop a scan (if you decide to stop an in-progress scan)
*Through ‘Settings’ you can control what each cleaner module cleans (e.g. what type of registry entries to clean, what type of junk files to clean, to clean internet history, cache, and/or cookies, etc.). However, the control is at a high level. For example, you cannot tell the program to only clean cookies from Chrome and not all browsers; it will either clean cookies from all browsers or none at all.
*Does not specify what browsers it works with. As per my tests, at least Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera are supported.
*For some odd reason, you can modify the window size (including maximize it) but you cannot move the window around. This is very annoying.
*When minimized, it goes to the system tray as opposed to appearing in the taskbar. This is extremely annoying because once it goes to the system tray, users are highly likely to forget the program is still running. There is no option to change this behavior.
*$50 a year (or $80 for life-time) for a cleaner? Really?

This is really expensive. Not worth $80, especially when there are open source programs around that do everything this does.
also I purchased this when it was first released some years ago and was promised upgrades, but never received them. Countless emails later I never received one reply from them.
If you go to their website, they claim that CNET gave them a "five-star" award, which is completely false. They have only a couple of ratings and an overall rating of two stars. Stay away on that basis. I don't like being lied to.
50 bucks for a cleaner like this with so many free and better tools out there? Most of GAOTDs' developers here seem to live in another world.

Es ist ja schön, daß die Aktion um 24 Stunden verlängert wurde und dazu ein Update zur Verfügung gestellt wurde. So etwas bekommt man aber nur mit, wenn man in einem weiteren TAB auch die englische Seite geöffnet hat. Trotzdem vielen Dank, daß das Aktivierungsproblem beseitigt wurde.
Ich habe meinen Seamonkey auf "Vorherige Sitzung wiederherstellen" eingestellt und mir ein Tab-Set mit sämtlichen Giveaway-Sites, entsprechenden Foren und anderen für mich wichtigen Dingen zusammengestellt. Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen, der wenigstens einen Teil seiner Tätigkeiten im Internet mit wiederkehrenden Arbeiten verbringt.

Finger Weg von PC Winbooster, wer nicht weiss wie man sein System wieder neu aufbaut inkl. aller drauf befindlichen Programme!!!!
Mit mir kann man es ja machen, da ich so was nicht zum ersten mal mache. Nach der Registrierung um 2 Uhr in der Nacht zum ersten mal ausprobiert. Danach der Schock, in Windows 8 64 Bit System ließen sich die installierten Apps inkl. App Store "von Microsoft" nicht mehr aufrufen, danke Godt, dass ich jetzt meinen Computer wieder neu aufbauen muss. Neuaktivierung aller Dienste brachte auch nix. Das kostet mich jetzt mindestens 4 Tage Zeit um das komplette System wider neu zu installieren.

Finger weg von diesem Programm.
Es löscht nützliche Programme und sperrt einen auch noch fasst von der normalen PC-Nutzung aus dann Veränderungen (z.B. Berechtigungen etc.) nicht mehr möglich sind.

komisches Programm, lässt sich gar nicht registrieren... Nach der Installation in Option "Über", kann man "Hilfe" anklicken, aber dann kommt: "Dieses Programm kann die Webseite nicht anzeigen.

ihr heutiges Freeware Programm PC Win Booster habe ich installiert aber ich kann nicht Reparieren mir werd ständig angezeigt: Bitte Registrieren.
Nun werde ich auf die Herstellerseite weiter geleitet wo ich dann die Software kaufen soll. Also doch keine Freeware.

Hält mein Windows sauber, genauso wie Domestos meine Hände sauber hält, ziemlich aggressiv nämlich, aggressiver als andere Tools.
Heute zwar geschenkt, aber der normale Preis von 80$ ist so lächerlich hoch, dass das mein Vertrauen in die Softwareschmiede deutlich schmälert.

Gemäß den englischen Kommentaren gibt es nur eine Empfehlung: FINGER WEG
a. offensichtlich mit open Source Progammen gespickt, die die eigentliche Arbeit machen.
b. Registration sehr problematisch. Fordert Abschaltung von FW und Antivir, macht trotzdem Probleme.
c. HomePage wird sehr negativ bewertet.
d. versprochene Updates finden nicht statt.
Wer sich selbst informiere will einfach Spracheinstellung dieser Seite auf englisch stellen und Download-Page aufrufen. Viel Spaß bein Lesen.

1. ist mir das zu teuer (auch wenn es heute kostenlos ist): 80$ für eine 1-Jahres Lizens! Man stelle sich vor, Windows gäbe es auch immer nur für 1 Jahr zu kaufen.
2. ist mir das Prog nicht vertauenswürdig genug, so wie alle "Booster", die im güstigsten Fall nichts bringen.
3. ist mir schlecht, wenn ich auf http://dottech.org/95886/windows-review-soft4boost-pc-win-booster/ die Rezension ansehe (ist leider nur in Englisch).
Ich werde dat Dingen keinesfalls anfassen.

Der wieder mal völlig übertriebene Preis von $80 zeigt doch deutlich, dass ein Test dieses "Weltklassetools" gar nicht nötig ist. Dafür gibt es doch genügend echte Alternativen. Soft4Boost darf bleiben wo es ist.
