Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system.
A company without name and address - but a phone number and photo of a building...
Claims : Provide the best software to recover passwords for
Windows, SQL Server, PDF, Word, Excel, Outlook, FTP, Email, etc.
A short advice : If your password can be recovered with such a tool, you don't need a password.
Upon start a small, resizable window. You have a lot of options for retrieving passwords. Some are simply stored in a windows location or "hidden" behind the windows asterix. These can be easily retrieved.
For others ...
Take WinRAR for example. This program knows the BruteForce Attack - with the subset of the Mask Attack if a part of the password is known. If you have some million years time, this works for a longer password.
The program knows also dictionary attack - which is the only way to recover a password with some probability. There is a small dictionary file 6meg. Search for the really big ones in the I-Net. And if you find YOUR password in such a dictionary: DO NOT USE IT!
My verdict: A good password recovery tool with a bootable .ISO to reset your windows password.

My opinion : TrueCrypt is still safe in the version 7.1. DON'T use the version 7.2 - if you want to change, change to freeOTE from Sarah Dean, who disappeared (for the same reason???). Due to the unsigned drivers it does not work any more on 64 bit systems. Download the version 5.21 from a reliable source!
And if you rely on a German company (which may have a backdoor, too - but does not cooperate with the NSA? IMHO) search for "Vollversion: Steganos Safe 14". The full version is free for some days and downloadable from Chip (some German language knowledge needed).
If you use a good password manager like Sticky Password or the freeware Passwordbox, the risk to be hacked is very low and there is no need to recover any passwords for Windows, email clients or for your browsers.
Hackers usually attack online databases (eBay, for instance) and the cloud storage services and don't care about ordinary home users like XPman or me...LOL!
This GAOTD is very useful to retrieve passwords for PDF, ZIP, RAR or Office docs, should you forget the password used to protect them.
And can also reset your lost administrator password to login into Windows.

It is not so surprising that PRB2014 found your Firefox browser passwords so quickly. You can do it yourself almost as fast. Just press Menu, Options, Security (tab), Saved Passwords, Show Passwords.
There they are for all to see!
Similarly, this program appears to merely know the resting places of other programs stored passwords, no decoding needed.
Downloaded this program because it claims to be able to reset my Windows password. Installed fine and registered it. Reopened the program and it now shows that I have a registered full version. Then I created the Windows boot disk and restarted my computer. The program opened with the password recovery screen just as described in the Help menu. Then when I tried to reset a password I was given the error "This program is compatible with your computer, please purchase the full version." Completely useless for my purpose!

Die Themida-Software beinhaltet durchaus Schadsoftware. Also besser wieder ab in den Sandkasten. Vielen Dank!

Wie oft denn eigentlich noch... Die Schadsoftware ist nur ANGEBLICH vorhanden da der Installer die Setup-Datei trojanerähnlich verpackt hat. Außerdem will der Installer am Ende noch eine Toolbar installieren.
Deswegen die Meldung über eine gefundene Schadsoftware.
Die existiert nämlich GAR NICHT

Mich hat das Programm nicht überzeugt. Eine passwortgeschützte PDF-Datei (3 Buchstaben u. 3 Ziffern) wurde nach 30 Minuten noch nicht geöffnet.

Dieses Teil erkennt überhaupt nichts. Laut ihm habe ich keine Passwörter.Da gibt es weitaus besseres una auch kostenlos.Oder ist es möglich, dass ich erst meine Passwörter verlieren muss damit es funktioniert?

Ich habe jedenfalls keine gefunden - und würde sie als Hersteller auch nicht so einfach zum Download anbieten. Alle Trials sind identisch.

Das Programm selbst ist brauchbar - die im Download versteckte "Beigabe" allerdings nicht. Also lieber das Programm von der Herstellerseite herunterladen und installieren und mit dem Key aus der Readme Datei freischalten. Dadurch erspart man es sich, dass das Virenschutzprogramm Alarm gibt und der Rechner bleibt sauber und die gefundenen Passwörter werden auch nicht "nach Hause" gesendet.

toller Schrott, neues leeres Dokument mit Word erstellt Passwort 1234 leider erkennt es das Schrottding nicht

Arbeitet einwandfrei. Habe ein altes, verschlüsseltes pdf-Dokument, dessen Passwort ich leider schon vergessen hatte, in weniger als 1 Minute öffnen können.

Programm ist komplett in Englisch, aber ganz brauchbar und im Prinzip
selbsterklärend.
ESET meckert wieder mal über Variante von Win32/InstallCore.BC.
Ladet euch das Programm von der Hersteller-Seite herunter.
Installiert es; gebt beliebigen Namen und Seriennummer aus der
readme.txt-Datei ein und freut euch über ein kostenloses Programm.

Vollschrott! Belastet voll die CPU und keine Einstellung um dies zu ändern (ausser natürlich im Task-Manager). Aber das Programm selbst sollte hier eine Möglichkeit bieten...

Programm ist ganz nett und bietet einen komfortablen Umfang in der Enterprise-Variante von der HP, welche sich mit dem Key ebenfalls registrieren läßt. Nützlich für alle, die ihre Passwörter von ihren Email-Accounts oder von interner Software in Listenansicht schnell angezeigt bekommen möchten.
