26% THUMBS UP only? Must be a JOKE!
Supports the latest HDD standards (Advanced Format Drive), 2TB+ and non-512B sector size drives, as well as 10 different disk sanitization methods. Must have tool especially for those who often buy & sell their PCs/Laptops and don't like the idea that somebody may have access to their sensitive files using data recovery software.
The big downside I can see is the size of this tool (116 MB is simply too big for a wipe disk).

Now, not many people out there know that formatting an HD is NOT the most secure way to remove files and folders from thier computer, since the process may often leave behind a lot of traces...

I know my opinion will not be popular but I don't see this publisher as being any different than Ashampoo. Both of them offer programs that you can download and install here. But if you go to their site you can't find these offerings. They only exists here.
While Paragon's offering are good, solid programs that perform well. I think the programs are way to large for the functions they perform and this one is no exception. 116 MB is way too large for a disk wipe. Check this link for a free and portable alternative...

The commercially available Paragon software contain Microsoft components, that cannot be given away freely. We cannot expect Paragon to pay the MS licences for us.
The last time this program was offered, Paragon explained why the file is so large: it contains both 32 and 64 bit software.
I was somewhat surprised to see on their website that the Gutmann Method of disk wiping was still included, the reason being that apparently it is ineffective of modern drives. He wrote about it in the following article:-

It is so important that when you discard an old computer and its hard drive that it is worth taking some effort of ensuring that you are using the most effective method of erasure. And when you have erased data that it is tested with a decent recovery program to be sure.

Ganz einfach - du schenkst dir die geschäftlich genutzte Festplatte einfach selbst nachdem sie ausgemustert wurde und privat löschst du sie dann weil du den Betriebsporno zu Hause nicht drauf haben willst.
Das Programm ist so gründlich, ich habs runtergeladen und finds nicht mehr - lol.

Der Assistent zur Erstellung der bootfähigen CD ist fehlerhaft: Im Fenster mit dem Fortschrittsbalken hängt sich das Programm auf, sobald die Anzeige bei 100% angekommen ist. Man wartet vergeblich darauf, dass der Button „Next“ aktiv wird.
Wenn man dann mit dem Explorer nachschauen will, ob sich nun ein Inhalt auf der CD befindet, wird die CD als unlesbar zurückgewiesen oder es wird ein Inhalt von lediglich 1 KB oder 174 Bytes zurückgemeldet, je nachdem, welche Sicht man gewählt hat. Tatsächlich wurde aber eine CD mit der richtigen Größe von 53,9 MB gebrannt. Außerdem befindet sich das ISO-Image im Ordner ISO des Programmordners.
Verbessert werden sollte Folgendes:
1. Der Fehler mit dem Aufhängen bei 100% sollte behoben werden.
2. Eine Erfolgsmeldung sollte erscheinen.
3. Im selben Fenster sollte der Hinweis erscheinen, dass die erfolgreich gebrannte CD nicht korrekt unter Windows gelesen werden kann und dass das Brennen nicht fehlgeschlagen ist, wenn im Explorer nur eine Datei namens „desktop“ mit einer Größe von lediglich 174 Bytes oder 1 KB angegeben wird.
4. Im selben Fenster sollte auch der Pfad zum ISO-Image im Programmordner angegeben sein.
Wichtig wäre dabei, dass die Hinweise nicht irgendwo in den Hilfeseiten stehen, sondern im Fenster mit dem Fortschrittsbalken bzw. dem Fenster, welches danach eigentlich folgen würde, wenn der Button „Next“ aktiv werden würde und damit aufgerufen werden könnte.

Dem Effizienzwunder Paragon ist wieder einmal das unglaubliche geglückt: mehr als 100 Megabyte für eine simple Löschroutine die wahrschienlich auch in ein paar Kilobyte Code Platz finden würde!
Speicherplatz ist heute scheinbar kein Thema mehr, also schert sich niemand um Effizienz und irgendwann steht das Werkel wegen Überlastung.
