windows 10 deleted straight away
This program brings an alert,stating it does not have a digital signature!
So, until it has one I will stay clear.
Chris is correct -- maybe this will help explain...
Most software companies try to incorporate defenses against malware exploits and patch security vulnerabilities, while those writing malware do their best to circumvent those efforts. Code signing can help by trying to make sure the file(s) you download are the originals and have not been altered. Windows warns you when it sees an unsigned program file or driver, hoping that folks will do just as you did, Grandpappy, & say: "Hey, wait a minute." Malware developers have ways to get around that. Files can be altered without effecting their signature, signing certificates can be stolen or forged, they can use vulnerable signed driver files, they can avoid using files entirely, e.g., adding scripts to the registry, and so on. Most developers go to the expense of using code signing if for no other reason than to avoid a bunch of people questioning whether their app contains malware, but as Chris says, those signatures are by no means a guarantee.

It looked good but MalwareBytes tells me that the office file is malware; any thoughts, please?
It seemed to download and install fine, but no pop up activation appeared and I can't find an activate button anywhere in the programs.

I figured out how to register. It works differently from what is said in the readme.txt file.
First, I had to switch off all Norton virus protection modules, including the Data Protector.
(Search for the Data Protector in Norton's main program search option, then a toggle switch is displayed.)
Then I started one of the modules of the installed program, e.g. the first one for drawing diagrams.
In the upper left corner, you find a menu which you have to scroll down until you see "Help".
In the "Help" sub-menu, you have to start "Activate Software".
For some reason, you might have to do this twice before it reacts to your click.
Then you have to fill in the form with your name etc..
In my case, clicking on the button for pasting the activation code led to an error message saying that the code is not valid. But this is nonsense.
Then you click the button to send the completed registration form.
Only when you properly deactivated your virus scanner, this will work.
With my virus scanner switched on, I got a message that some .dll file could not be accessed.
Finally, you will be informed that your software was activated and will be restarted.
After the restart, you can again go to the "Help" menu and select "About" to see that your status was indeed changed to "registered".

Wenn eine alte Version des obigen Programms vorhanden ist gilt folgendes:
"Die Installation der Neu-Version 3.6.1.209 kann nur dann aktiviert werden, wenn man zuvor die alte Vor-Version des Programms manuell deinstalliert hat!"
Bemerkung:
"Das Installationsprogramm prüft leider nicht ob man schon vorher eine ältere Version auf seiner Festplatte installiert hat!"
Jedenfalls war es bei mir der Fall!

Nortan Antivirus displays a warning after starting each individual module. But I chose the option to allow each of them run. One problem I could not solve, though, is that no activation window was displayed. Maybe no further registration is needed when you have another program by the same company installed?
