What will happen after the 1 year license expires?
Will the software continue to work?
Ram, i have the Leawo Prof. Media software and this Video Converter is one of the modules to that, the Video Converter, if i remember after 1 year each module reverts back to a Trial Version!!!! except a couple of Free Licence version on mine, so i have 10 modules that were Full versions, now only 2 that work as they had free unlimited licenses, i think? but i have 8 modules that have reverted back to TRIAL Versions!!!. after the 1 year Licenses Exipred.
i don't mind Leawo Products but since they turned there products into Subscription based i Hardly use them anymore, Mainly because each Module which was paid for with a 1 year License Reverted Back to a Trial Version, i thought each module would stay a full version as long as it stayed on whatever version was installed and you did not upgrade to a newer version, of course if i installed a newer version module than it would be expected that version would be a Trial Version, until a new License was payed for. But to Basically revert Back to a Trial Version after 1 Year for a Paid Product (For the Version Module which was paid for) seems to me your only Renting that version for 1 year and and now that version which was paid for now can't be used, and by doing that it's more or less Forcing you to Upgrade each version Module to a newer version at a cost. Good if you want be Upgrade but Very Bad if you just want to keep using the version you already paid for, Which to me should stay a Full working version as long as you stay on the Version you paid for. But No they revert it to a Trial version after 1 year. As i have not used Leawo for awhile now, and they are on my other Computer which i hardly use now , i'm only trying to remember that's what happened after the 1 year (either that or the Expired Module no longer works?) Maybe others can let you Know but i'm almost certain they Revert to a Trial Version after the 1 Year.

Mark: I'm not sure if your grasp of Leawo's pricing structure is correct.
My understanding is that although Leawo has embarked on a drive to increase its profits, it has rejected the software-as-rentalware idea (which iObit so optimistically attempts to pursue) in view of widespread user hostility to recurring annual charges that, in the majority of cases, are wholly unjustified.
Leawo is instead trying to popularise the concept of two-tier software pricing: a lower price for a 12 month license, a higher price for a lifetime license.
Thus, in the case of today's Video Converter 7.7.0, it will sell you the product with a 12 month license for $29.95 -- or with a lifetime license for $39.95.
It's up to the consumer to decide if shelling out that kind of money for what is, in effect, a 12-month trial, makes any kind of sense at all. To me, it doesn't: software is a product no different6 from any other product: it should be sold not merely fit for purpose, but fit for usage over a reasonable period of time. Twelve months is not, in my book, a reasonable time -- and certainly not at $30 a pop.
In my case then -- and I suspect in many another -- Leawo has lost a potential customer. I won't ever be conned into purchasing rentalware, and I won't ever fall into the trap, either, of accepting that two-tier licensing pricing is in my best interest.
I appreciate GOTD Giveaways. However I am sorry to say that with Leawo products I have tried, their giveaway lifetime licences mysteriously reverts back to trial versions after a few months. So I'll probably will not try any Leawo products again. But thanks to you GOTD for all the other good ones you offer.
Thank you but I don't want any more subscription Leawo either. I rarely need an audio/video program such as they offer. So many times in the past, I finally had occasion to use a Leawo program and find it's expired. I, instead, get the "Professional Media Module" filled with trial version programs.
