just a quick note to all those that complain about commercial software here, and the "fact" that businesess don't look here. As a small business owner, I am constantly on the lookout for any cost saving device, program or software. Any small business owner will tell you that overhead is ALWAYS a primary concerne, and anything that saves you money is worth the time. I would wager that there are several business owners, managers, execs, and the like who look here daily, as I do, for new software. How best to evaluate new or previuosly unknown programs. and the cost to try them is just right. I will try this program and if I like it, I'll go out and buy the full version (just because thats fair business practice).
These software are not meant for commercial use nd something like this is offered , what a pity..
Many times people here complain about software not being useful on a personal basis, but I tend to view their opinions as blinkered. But today even I have to ask how this could possibly be used in any non-commercial way, as it is positively driven by company requirements.
Only non-profit making organisations could see a glimmer of light in this, and it has to be assumed that those kinds of organisations are unlikely to be putting the kind of pressure on employees that this piece of software purports to apply.
Have to also say that if I had the kind of boss who would even remotely be considering this kind of program, I'd be first in line with my resignation letter. Talk about a totalitarian attitude, the only thing it doesn't mention in the write up is how many lashes you get for not completing something on time!
Things to note:
LeaderTask Server has a license limitation of 10 computers, not unlimited like the description above states.
Free Alternatives:
These alternatives are aimed at LeaderTask not LeaderTask Server - none of these alternatives have the ability to create workgroups over a network and share tasks as far as I know.

Registration and installation:
Installation went fine. Registration was a bit tricky.In the readme.txt is says “In order to activate your copy of the software you should run activate_leadercommand.ltkey included in the downloaded archive.” I am on Vista Home Premium 32-bit and I had to copy activate_leadercommand.ltkey and paste it into the LeaderCommand folder under Program Files/Almeza (where I installed it) for it to register properly - running it would not work.
Verdict:
The only difference between today's giveaway and the giveaway on Jan 29 is LeaderTask Server. And LeaderTask Server only increases the functionality of LeaderTask, not diminishes it. However, LeaderTask Server will not be useful to many home users, so home users can even uninstall just LeaderTask Server and keep LeaderTask if they wish. That being said, I said it on Jan 29 and I will say it again: I really like LeaderTask. For the forever busy and the people who are involved in hundreds of activities this program is great. With a capital g (G?). Its ability to allow tasks to be associated with projects, categories and contacts is unprecedented. Being able to filter your tasks according to your criteria is nice. The interface is a bit overwhelming but nothing you can't get use to. If you are one of those people who are so busy that you will be lost if you don't categorize each task, this program is definitely for you. For other people, like my self, who just need a simple to do and event list to help us keep on track, Rainlender is the way to go.

Endlich mal ein farbenfrohes Programm welches die 32bit Farbeinstellung vom Windows richtig ausreizt. Macht sich auch gut als Bildschirmschoner oder Desktophintergrund.

Das Programm ist sehr mangelhaft. Die Einstellungen sind sehr kompliziert und überfrachtet; ich hab drei Kalenderdateien angelegt, alle waren binnen ein paar Minuten kaputt und nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Keinesfalls zu empfehlen.

Ich möchte das Progamm privat auf zwei Computern in der Familie laufen lassen, so dass zweimal auf einen Organizer zugegriffen wird. Weiss jemand wie das geht?

welches von den beiden progs muss man zuerst starten? ich habs versucht... wenn ich das aktivierungsprog aufrufe, dann will er wissen, mit welchem prog starten... wenn ich dann das prog angebe, geschieht nichts... bitte genaue reihenfolge angeben

Vor dem "Start" der .lckey müsst ihr einmal das Prgramm so starten. Dann erst werden die Verknüpfungen erzeugt und die .lckey lässt sich starten und das Programm ist registriert.

ja, geht mir auch so, das activierungsprog hat eine unbekannte endung. ich habs mit dem eigentlichen programm versucht und mit einem anderen von almeza. ein exe ists auch nicht, nur 1 kb, was also soll da drauf sein? aktivierung ist also nicht möglich auf diese weise.

Daran sieht man wieder, welche Zielgruppe Giveaway of the day gerne ansprechen würde: die Gewerbetreibenden. Die Realität sieht aber wohl eher so aus, dass sich hier hauptächlich Privatleute tummeln. Falsche Zielgruppe.
