Is it containing a free license from the devloper of this software or a hacked license key?
No software given away on this site is ever 'hacked' or provided with a 'hacked' licence key.
This site is respected and given the full support by the software developers.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a lifetime free program or time-limited.

Lifetime free, but 1 month of free upgrades only.
I got a previous version (v.1.2.15) of this from another giveaway site and gave the creator some feedback there. It is good to see that they have implemented some of my suggestions.
I am a little concerned that the program is requesting access to these sites ( as reported by my firewall)

I can't see why the program needs to access the internet at all other than to validate the serial number which I assume would be done on the kotobee.com site.
Here are some of my comments from last time that don't seem to have been implemented:
The “Author” of the book defaults to “Kotobee”. There is no setting where you can set up a default Author, so you have to type this in for each book you create.
The default book title and chapter are filled is as ‘Untitled book’ and ‘untitled chapter’, but to overwrite those you have to delete those default words. It would be a lot easier if the text was a ‘hint’ rather than actual text. In the book manager screen the ‘publisher’ ‘description’ and ‘ISBN’ fields are ‘hints’ rather than actual text, so I can’t see why all the fields can’t be ‘hints’
When I exported to a word doc, the images were missing.
The program itself seems to work well

Installed on Win7 HP 64-bit system, got registration code but Kotobee won't launch. Spins for a few seconds then nothing.

Installation und Registrierung ohne Probleme, aber nach Eingabe der gemailten serial number erscheint nach der Validierung im Programm als Verlängerungsdatum -renewal date- der 9. Juni 2017.
Ist die Lizenz also nur 1 Monat gültig?
