Pretty GOOD video converter today: quick conversion speed, good quality output and many advanced features offered to users in order to customize their final output (aspect ratio, birate, watermark, subtitles etc...) and watch their DVD video almost anywhere (iPad, iPod, iPhone, iPhone5c, iPhone5s, Apple TV, Zune, SP, Xbox, BlackBerry etc...).

There are two things that I do not appreciate about this giveaway. The first is that the giveaway insist on being added to the "startup group". The second is when I go to the page listed as being necessary for activation of the program-there's nothing on the page about activating the program at all. Each contains information on "trial edition".
I do not want a "trial edition" nor do I want to be forced to add a program to my startup group.
Installed an a Win 8.1 64 Bit system, Processor I 2500K, 16 GB RAM without problems. Intel 3000 Video, no extra video card. Normal HDD.
Two first test were impressive :
Converted an 1.3 GB 480x360 .AVI file to 1.2 GB 480x360 .MP4 in min 5:20. Quality seems to be the same on a first glance.
Reduced the size by converting from a 1.2 GB .MP4 file 680x420 to an 520 MB File with the same characteristics in about 3:40 Minutes, without (at least for me) no visible loss of quality.
The program uses the same video size for output automatically. I did the conversion jobs without changing anything with the default values.
Is significantly faster than the other GOATD video converters, which I have seen. makes fun and makes sense.

As far as I'm concerned is real claim to fame is that it can download IPlayer programs so they can be watched at your convenience without the BBC time restrictions.
It may take a few tries to get the download started but it's by far the best I have seen in the long run.
If you want this function make sure you allow it to download the plug-in for your browser, I'm using Firefox and it worked without problems.
My firewall warns about the software attempting to write on registry keys that any program should not be allowed to. For example, one of the key is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings.
I already hate the way Microsoft permit any program to screw the system through that stupid registry. But that any software (i.e. "smart" developer) does the same is a big no-no. This GOTD might be good, but don't whine about it modifying your system settings.

Hallo giveaway-Team, leider wird beim Anmeldungsversuch(14.12.2013) im Programm 'iSkysoft Video Converter ultimate 4.6.0' meine langzeitig-bewährte, eigene e-Mail-Adresse als 'ungültig' zurückgewiesen. Auch meine Versuche, direkt auf der Hersteller-Web-Seite Klärung zu erfahren, endet mit dem gleiche Ergebnis: 'ungültige e-Mail-Adresse'. Wie doch eine kleine Buchstaben-Zeichen-Kombination einen Softwarehersteller wohl aus dem Tritt bringen kann!..-und Kontaktaufnahme wohl unerwünscht! Schade drum!

Bitte keine Konverter mehr. Es braucht doch wirklich niemand wöchentlich einen neuen Konverter! Nehmt euch ein Beispiel an den vielen online Adventskalendern: jeden Tag richtige Oldware. Antiquierte Retrotools teilweise sogar mit 9-Monats-Lizenz und registrierpflichtig. Oder e-books die die Welt nicht braucht. Nichts wie weg hier... Schönen Advent und vielen Dank!

Die Registrierung verlief problemlos. Mit der Bestätigungsmail kam auch ein Downloadlink von der iskysoft-Website.
Das Programm tut was es verspricht - jedoch das mit dem 30x schneller als andere Programme funktioniert nur von einem Containerformat zum nächsten (z.B. .mov nach .avi) - eine Konvertierung von .mov in .mpg z.B. dauert genauso lange wie mit anderen Programmen auch.

Heutzutage erwarte ich schon dass ein Konverter mit Blu Rays klar kommt. Klar - heute Gratis - aber für mich dennoch unbrauchbar da eben kein Blu Ray Support. Zum Rippen von DVDs gibt es genug Freeware welche genau so viel oder mehr leistet. Jedem das seine - nichts für mich. Dennoch Danke GOTD!

Nachtrag 2:
Der Wandlungsmodus 2D > 3D ist zwar relativ hurtig, aber das Ergebnis wenig berauschend: da bleibe ich für 2D- Filme lieber beim virtuellen 3D meiner Samsung- Heimkinoanlage.
Des Weiteren beherrscht die Software maximal 30 FPS (Freemaker bis 60), und rechnet wie im Test ein 50 FPS- Video einfach auf 24 FPS herunter, was insbesondre in 3D sehr ruckelig und nicht begeisternd wirkt.

Nachtrag: während Freemake mehr Formate beherrscht, bringt die vorgestellte Software die Möglichkeit, in 3D zu konvertieren. Ich versuche das grade mit Deep Impact, Full HD, AAC- 5.1- Sound. Das Ergebnis soll als .mp4 6 GB groß sein. Ich werde berichten, wie sich das auf meinem Samsung TV macht.

Für Interessenten:
ich benutze die Freeware Freemake Video Converter http://www.freemake.com/de/free_video_converter/ mit sehr gutem Erfolg. Damit kann man sogar 2 GB große .avi- Filme auf Full HD- Format aufblasen.
Verkleinern geht natürlich auch, :-) Aber ich käme mir dumm vor, wenn ich ein Full HD- Video auf dem Smartphone betrachten würde statt auf dem 55- Zöller.

OK, kennt man ja schon, dass die Programme von "Give A Way Of The Day" GAWOTD nix taugen.
Und mal wieder Daumen runter. Schade auch. Das Programm mag ja vielleicht brauchbar sein, aber leider verhindert die Inkompetenz von iSkysoft einen Test.
Ich bleibe also weiter bei den Freeware-Programmen, mit denen ich bisher sehr erfolgreich gearbeitet habe.
