@ what's the difference between the GOTD and the free sound recorder that is being offered below the feedback?
One difference is that the "free" sound recorder also installs the program CoolCandy that can be read about in the licence agreement text that has to be accepted to be able to install the "free" sound recorder.

Hello All, well, I feel that I had to comment on this offer today. I've just downloaded this & had a quick play & I can't see why there are so many negative comments & "Thumbs Down". Ok, so Audacity is a free program & it does more. However, today this offer & Audacity happen to be the same price.... FREE!! Granted, iRecord Max doesn't have as many features as Audacity, but that makes things a lot easier for some. If I needed a simple recording device & quickly then this would be a very good option to have knocking about on your laptop or P.C.
@ Giovanni, you do normally have some good advice & alternative options. But today, I feel, you have let yourself down with your opening line. Whilst I do agree that I wouldn't spend $30 on this, today IT IS FREE!! Also, it is NOT CRAP!! It does exactly as it says on the tin. Simply press record, make a noise & press stop... Done! With Audacity it is not THAT simple. Don't get me wrong, I have & use Audacity, but for a SIMPLE & EASY to use recorder this is very good & today IT IS FREE.
Give it a go, it's a nice simple format that is easy to use.
Right then, that's it from me, I've said my piece & I'm happy.

Up to today I used to love your alternate recommendations. HOWEVER, today I tried your GiliSoft Audio Recorder Free recommendation and got burned with at least three drive-by installations EVEN AFTER I carefully deselected all of them during the install procedure. It has taken me over an hour and three reboots of Windows and running Malwarebytes to get rid of these infestations.
From now on I'm not going to run any of your recommendations. The saying goes, "Once burned, twice shy."

Mir gefällt es und ich es gut bebrauchen. Wer heutzutage auf Win 8 setzt, ist halt verloren. Gibt es dafür überhaupt Programme?!?! lol

... ist doch ein schnuckeliges kleines Tool, das ohne große Lernkurve Ton-Aufnahmen ermöglicht. Richtig ist, dass das (z. T. kostenlose) Angebot in diesem Bereich groß ist, aber nur deshalb ist dieses hier nicht gleich schlecht und kostenlos ist es heute ebenfalls.
Ich lass' es jedenfalls auf meinem PC vorerst darauf.
