Icecream PDF Split&Merge ist ein leistungsstarkes Tool zum Verschmelzen/Trennen/Kombinieren von PDF-Dokumenten. Es bietet euch vier Trennmodi: Ganze PDF-Datei wird in einzelne Seiten eingeteilt, bestimmte Seiten werden beim Trennen ausgelassen, es wird nach Intervallen oder Seitengruppen getrennt.
Auch das Verschmelzen von Dateien ist absolut einfach. Ihr könnt mit passwortgeschützten Dokumenten (input und output) arbeiten und die Vorschau-Funktion nutzen. All das mit einem sehr durchdachten Interface!

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system. A clean install.

Upon start a non resizable modern UI opens, you can add choose between split or merge a PDF file - and here the problems starts. Did somebody really test this software? Surely not.
Since splitting in single pages is a common task by many other products, I thought, that deleting pages is a more complex problem...
I opened a PDF for deleting certain pages. A small non resizable preview window opens, the page number is only shown on the bottom of each page, should be shown always.

Deleting and merging worked as expected. A simple tool, a "professional" version? No.
A simple and small tool. You can install it, if you need deleting or merging a PDF with setting a password (working).
Uninstall via reboot. No need of this.
Well it surely looks simple and small, it can and must be improved (quickly) here and there, it even has at least one bug - but it's professional enough for me. It surely is more comfortable and more speedy than other PDF splitting-merging software that I used to use, both free and paid. Convenient preview, intuitive enough user interface. Took 5 minutes to go over one PDF file (60 mB, a newspaper) page by page, delete pesky ads and sports bulls@#t... voilà, new, clean 22 mB file. Checked it out, too: looks good (other splitters-mergers sometimes end up with unreadable PDFs). Thanks a lot to Icecream and GAotD!

Had it done so, I'm at a loss to understand why it is seeking to market a $20 alternative.
Was so surprised when I saw what was offered considering it's limited functionality compared to Pdfill’s free program that I thought I must try it.
At the price offered I thought it would be much simpler in its use by possibly being able to mark the pages in the preview window or at least some improvement.
Preview window cannot be resized and frankly is too small, plus it offers no help in selecting the pages that the functions will be performed on.
Why anyone bothered to produce this program is beyond my comprehension, uninstalled!

What's the difference between this version and the PRO?
Free SumatraPDF edits PDF files? deletes or merges pages? Sorry you're totally wrong. SumatraPDF only reads/displays PDFs.

Icecream ist eher etwas zum Lutschen - für PDF-Dateien nehme ich professionelle tools. Diesen undeutschen Download spare ich mir direkt. Gute Nacht!

Das hier probiere auch ich erst garnicht aus,hab hier mal iSkysoft PDF Editor ergattert,der kann alles perfekt und in deutsch.

Beim Teilen einer 15 kByte PDF-Datei (nur Text, keine Grafik) entstanden 3 Teile mit JE 13 kByte.
Nach zusammenführen der Original-PDF mit den 3 Fragmenten entstand
eine doppelt soviele Seiten enthaltende PDF mit 54 kByte.
D.h. das Programm macht was falsch beim Teilen - die resultierenden Dateien werden zu groß - dürften höchstens 5 - 6 kByte groß sein.
Beim Zusammenfügen werden die kByte nicht zusätzlich "vermehrt".
Ergo: zusammenfügen kann das Programm, zum teilen hatte ich schon was Besseres, läuft aber leider unter Win7-64 nicht mehr.

Außerdem habe ich einmal mit den "Länder-Einstellungen" hier herumgespielt und festgestellt, daß ich damit nicht nur eine schnöde Übersetzung bekomme, sondern gleich in das entsprechend Forum wechsele.
Bei den Griechen waren nirgends mehr Kommentare, die haben zur Zeit wohl andere Sorgen ...
