This has to be one of the buggiest software packages i've seen on GOTD.
1./ The software doesnt work on a screen with y-resolution 768. You cannot access all the toolbars and they are not scrollable. Therefore this software is useless on a laptop or smaller TFT.
2./ By default every picture has a oval mask. You can change the mask from a selection of 5 ovals, but you cannot remove the oval mask!
3./ It seems that the main focus of this program is to animate transitions between pictures. Just like powerpoint transitions... these are things that we DONT or SHOULDNT be doing by default and to every slide!
4./ The flipping book output, even in full frame, does not zoom the pictures to full screen, but surrounds them in a mask
5./ Error on output files as previous posters have mentioned
This is a really poor offering even as freeware, let alone paid software. Deleted.
I like Flip Album, but it's not the type of software which I normally use, so I can't really compare it to similar offerings. The install was clean, but execution does create some scattered folders and temporary files. There is a PDF documentation file, but no Help. It's not my job to create Help files for developers, there's a lot to this, you have to be able to look around the UI (seriously). I'm sure that there will be endless comments from people claiming that Flip Album can't do things which it can. Some of the links in the program are broken, some of the More links go to inaccessible pages on Boxoft, and one particular help link goes to the wrong site. Additional Templates cost, but you can download additional Themes (a few are already included) per Template. There's a lot to this, you can do interesting things with photos, but you may need to crop them before adding them, as Flip Album will let you zoom them within frames and masks, but apparently not pan them.
GOTD really needs to change or eliminate the voting system. I have much more important things to do with my time, but if GOTD doesn't do something about it, I'll deal with the vote manipulator on my comments, there's nothing that I can do about other comments.

I use various forms of flip-book software, and collage making software, so am familiar with several different ones.
I have only had a quick play with this one, and haven't taken it through to creating a flip book - only the page creation / photo and other artefacts manipulation stage.
This one does seem to have a few interesting and unusual effects which aren't present in the other softwares I've used, and so is worth keeping for that alone.
It did, however, hang once and I had to end process, plus, as someone has already mentioned,I did find a couple of dead links (one that I can remember off the top of my head is the 'More' button on the frames, masks, clipart, etc menus).
However, to those who said that you cannot either pan or remove frames: you can do both. To pan / tilt, select the photo by clicking it and a green cross with arrows appears in the centre. Click and hold this to move the photo around within the frame. To remove the mask, right-click on a photo and it's one of the option on the menu that appears.
Incidentally, there are far more masks that someone else suggested (ie not just a few oval ones). What appears initially is only page 1 of 14. Look at the bottom left of the menu bar. This applies to many of the menu bars, so don't just assume that the only options available are the ones immediately visible.
Overall, definitely one I will be keeping and experimenting with some more.

@ Fränkli (Nr. 11). Danke für Dein Feedback. Ja, gestern Samstag war ich wirklich aktiv. Ich möchte eben auch konstruktives beitragen auf dieser Seite. Es hat übrigens gebessert, Vor etwa 1-2 Jahren war hier nur Stuss zu lesen von irgendwelchen frustrierten Typen.
Genau, ich seh das genau so wie Du: Einem geschenkten Gaul, schaut man nicht ins Maul und "prüfe, bevor Du Dich bindest". Man hat die Gelegenheit, zu überlegen, ob man ein Tool haben will oder nicht. Und muss dabei nicht einmal das Portemonnaie zücken. Viele Grüsse.

Ich nutze seit Jahren FLIP PDF (PDF to SWF). Bin voll zufrieden damit.
FLIP ALBUM scheint nun PIX to PDF to SWF zu bieten.
Und ist wohl eine Teillösung von zuvor genanntem.
Leider ist FLASH tot. Adobe lässt Flash fallen. Keine Weiterentwicklung.
Homepages mit Flash-Bestandtteilen werden zudem in Suchmaschinen negativ quittiert.... (und von vielen Usern im Browser blockiert)
Im Gegensatz zu HTML5-Seiten !
FLIP ALBUM soll laut Beschreibung zumindestens für Mobilgeräte HTML5-Output anzubieten, was meine FLIP PDF-Version noch nicht kann.
DAS WÄRE TOP.
Und deshalb sichere ich mir die heutige Vollversion auf jeden Fall.
(denn zum Testen selbst bleibt mir heute nacht keine Zeit)

Ja du schreibst aber wieder viel hier, odder? Is bei euch in d'r Schweiz inzwischen au Wochenende? Wenn du lieber mit einer deutschen Oberfläche arbeiten willst, musst du nur die english.lng mittels einem Editor öffnen und die paar Zeilen übersetzen - Zeit dafür hast du ja - hä. Und dann nimmst du dir die Software und freust dich daran, so etwas kriegst du nicht alle Tage geschenkt, odder?

Jürgen (Eintrag 3): Umstellung auf Deutsch scheint nicht möglich zu sein. Wie schon in meinem Eintrag Nr. 5 gesagt, scheint uns "Lachdichschief" (Nr. 1) zum Narren zu halten. Aber eben.... ! Lassen wir das!
Scorpio (Nr. 4): Mit Deinem Kommentar (Effekte gehen angeblich auf den Wecker) bin ich nicht ganz einverstanden. Die Software erlaubt Dir unter anderem, einen selber kreierten Hintergrund auszuwählen (Option: Select from your computer).
So gesehen gibt es für eine Software, die heute gratis zu haben ist, nichts zu meckern.

Nachtrag zu meinem vorherigen Eintrag (Nr. 2): Das Programm gefällt mir sehr gut. Ist einfach in der Bedienung. Die Auswahl an Vorlagen ist zwar nicht berauschend. Aber manchmal ist weniger auch mehr. Und: Wer ein bisschen Englisch kann, kommt mit dem Flip Book gut zurecht. Super ist das Erstellen einer exe-Datei, die man dann an Freunde versenden kann. Mögliches Problem: exe-Dateien können Misstrauen auslösen (wegen Viren, Trojanern und Co.) und Mailprogramm blockieren solche Dateien womöglich.
Trotzdem: Super-Angebot heute. Nochmals Danke vielmals! :O)

GrüessDi lachnichschnief. Na ehrlich! Was soll dieser sarkastische Kommentar? Oder doch nicht sarkastisch? Von Multilingual keine Spur. Ansonsten: Hab das Tool noch nicht ausprobiert. Installation erfolgte auf jedenfall problemlos. Was schon mal ein grosser Pluspunkt ist (im Gegensatz zum gestrigen Tool "1AVCenter 2.3.1). Und: ist das mit der Umbennung auf scr (Screensaver) nun ein Scherz oder tatsächlich wahr.
Mit anderen Worten: Was hier hilft, sind gute Kommentar, sachkritisch, positive und negative. Aber Kommentar 1 ist wenig hilfrecih. Gruss und Danke an GAOTD und den Hersteller für das Tool.
Übrigens: Auf der englischsprachigen Seite weist der Kommentar Nr. 2 auf mehrere Alternativen hin.

Netter Effekt, der spätestens nach dem Betrachten von ein paar Dutzend Bildern jedem Betrachter auf den Wecker geht. Immerhin kann man damit von der schlechten inhaltlichen oder gestalterischen Qualität seiner Bilder ablenken, so wie Urlaubsfilmer mit animierten Szenenübergängen.
Aber glücklicherweise verkehre ich nicht mit Menschen, die Diashows im EXE-Format öffnen würden.

Oho, na wer bei dem Album heute nicht ausFlippt.Komplett multilingual, kann alles was andere tools nicht können. Da kannst du deine XXL Fotos als standalone noch zu Weihnachten verschenken. Und wenn du lieber einen Screensaver hättest, brauchst du die exe nur in scr umbenennen. Na das ist doch heute wieder ein Daumen hoch und hundert Punkte Geschenk! Vielen Dank an GATOD!
