If you had installed the January 15, 2014 MunSoft Data Recovery Suite 2.0, this is included. It is the same working version, which made and makes a good impression.
If you don't have it already, then this can be a real help with damaged office documents.
To the version 2.0. If this is a working version, there is no need to update this version as long as the file structure in Windows&Office does not change. A longer existing version 2.0 makes IMHO a better impression, than version 15.382RC31V2.
Initially I thought this was purely a recovery program for deleted files that was limited to Microsoft office file types.
On reading more information it would appear its claim to fame is to actually recover corrupted files, as explained on their web page.

As all files are equal in the eyes of the OS, generally companies that limit their recovery to a certain type of file are often a scam to make more money by selling recovery programs for individual file types.

Also, ich hab noch nie eine corrupte Office-Datei gehabt, falls doch, find ich sie im ständigen Backup ohnehin wieder. Nun ja, in manchen Büros sieht es möglicherweise düsterer aus mit dem Backup.

hab durch einen denk?-fehler irrtümlich ALLE foto-ordner ~ 18 GB von
einer USB-HD (nicht in den Papierkorb, da ich dachte anders gehts
schneller!) - gelöscht.
das im internet immer als so toll angepriesene gratis
RECUVA-wiederherstellungstool gab nach ca. 300 MB auf.
außerdem stellte es die fotos nur ohne unterverzeichnisse "in einer
wurst" wieder her.
ich lud mir das tool "handyRecovery" runter

Selbst wenn ich mit Microsoft Office arbeiten würde, könnte ich mir nicht vorstellen gerade ein Recovery-tool aus Smolensk zu benutzen.
Nun gut, es hat diese Woche hier auch noch kein Recovery-tool gegeben.
Aber wer qualitativ gute Tools in seinem Programm hat, wird sie hier wohl kaum vorstellen. Die Seite hat schließlich ein Gschmäckle. Keinen Dank!
