Unfortunately this is the BASIC version of the main program, so it's a pretty decent software but only for the average Joe Home users out there, since it sports all those basic features a backup software should have (incremental, and differential backups, drive-level/system and file-level backups for basic HD only etc...), but nothing more.
Not enough for me to add it on my terrific arsenal...LOL!
If you need more advanced futures, just use the awesome FREEWARE "AOMEI BACKUPPER", which outclasses this GAOTD 10 times out of 10:

In addition to that, this awesome software is able to:
- restore individual files and folders from a backup image file without being forced to recover the entire backup.

- perform HD and Partition cloning operations, which can be very handy if your main intent is to upgrade/replace/migrate your old HD to a new one (SSD included) belonging to a dissimilar hardware.
In fact, what you have to do is simply to copy your HD directly to a new one, without creating an image file, with the additional cool ability to resize your partitions even during the cloning process.

I'm afraid that tricks like offering the BASIC version of the main program as GAOTD, in the hope people upgrade to the more advanced one paying big bucks for that, no longer work!!

FYI: The download size of EaseUS Todo Backup Home from GOTD is only 487 KB because you are downloading the DOWNLOADER of EaseUS Todo Backup Home. When you run the downloader, it will download the installer for EaseUS Todo Backup Home which is roughly 115 MB.
Good reliable solution.
Things I've found awkward:
1. On installation, it requires you to specify the backup destination. Well, if you don't have your external 1Tb disk (or whatever) plugged in at the time.. you can't.
2. When doing a restore from the program, requiring a reboot, my laptop overheated during the restoration.
I've consistently found with this product only using the WinPE boot disk works. (Once I was forced to use the Linux disk out in the garage one freezing winter)
3. Differential and Incremental backup is launched from 'Management'. Seems a bit of an odd place to put it. Now, if your external backup disk is NOT allocated the same drive letter as in the backup plan, it won't find it.
Your options are either a technical fix using a small piece of software so that backup drive is always allocated the same drive letter (if available) or yo have to edit the backup plan to match the drive letter.
On these grounds I now prefer Aomei Backupper.
I would not recommend EASEUS, but think you will find AOMEI BACKUPPER perfect. It has a facility to make a WinPE Disk for restore purposes.

Hatten wir schon mal - dadurch wird es aber weder "wahrer" noch steigt die angebliche Kompetenz des Users, der mit Acronis nicht wirklich umgehen kann und der mit der Bedienung von Acronis überfordert ist.

Ein tolles Backup-Programm: Unterstützt alle Varianten von Backups: System, Partition, gesamte Disk, bietet auch eine Linux und eine WinPE Rettungsdisk zu erstellen an, kann aus Sicherungen Einzeldateien extrahieren oder gleich die Sicherung als Laufwerk mounten. Inkrementelle/differenzielle Backups, alles kein Problem.(Achtung, das kann die Chipversion nicht!). In Summe ein tolles Paket, auch weil die Sicherung sehr flott erfolgt. Nehmen, bevor die Frist um ist!

Ich habe mir erstmal Easeus Todo Backup Final 6.1 von CHIP gesogen und installiert.
Von hier habe ich nur den Lizenzcode aus der Setup-Datei gebraucht.

Da das ganze für Newbies etwas unübersichtlich ist, hier nur der Hinweis auf die Startdatei loader.exe im Unterverzeichnis \BIN
Ansonsten "remarkable"!

Ich benutze nach Totalpleite mit Acronis TrueImage 2012 (nur 1 von 3 "geprüften" Backups benutzbar, und natürlich das älteste) die damalige Freeware EaseUS ToDo Backup Free 3.5, die alle hier genannten Vorteile auch aufweist.
Höhere Versionen verfügen nicht mehr über die "Backup verifizieren"- Funktion, daher bei Installation 1. Rechner vom Netz und 2. Auto- Update ausschalten- dürfte auch für die heutige Version gelten.
Diese Freeware hat mir (das an die Adresse der "keine Ahnung von Acronis"- Fraktion: ich war seit Acronis TI Version 6 begeisterter Nutzer dieses Programms) schon etliche Male den Hintern gerettet und auch die Migration des Btriebssystems auf SSD ohne Probleme ermöglicht.
Kann daher EaseUS wärmstens empfehlen, auch wenn ich wegen der heutigen Spende meine bisherige Version nicht in die Tonne treten werde.

Was soll ich mit den vielen anderen Backup-Werkzeugen,
welche fetter als mein Betriebstsystem sind?
Und endlich mal ein Programm,
welches kein Framewörk 1.0, 2.0 und 3.0. sowie 3.5 und 4.0 benötigt!

Das Programm hält zwei fette Prozesse am laufen die ziemlich viel Speicher fressen.

Das Programm telefoniert nach China nach Hause - die Verbindung nach China wurde durch meine Firewall abgeblockt.
Ich kotze bei Software, die nach Hause telefonieren will besonders wenn's nach China oder in die USA geht ...

Zwar läuft das Programm stabil, dennoch werde ich es datenschutzrechtlichen Bedenken bei mir nicht einsetzen !

Paragon Backup lief bei mir bisher etliche Jahre ohne große Schwierigkeiten - auf neue Schwierigkeiten habe ich kein Bock.

Und die die eine deutsche Oberfläche brauchen: In was für einer doofen Welt lebt ihr eigentlich? Laut Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung ist eine zweite Fremdsprache noch immer eine Schlüsselkompetenz (d.h. vorausgesetzt man beherrscht schon eine Fremdsprache)...
Wer aber garkeine Sprache beherrscht außer die Eigene, ist schon ein armes Schwein!!!

Diesmal ein Vor-Installer, der das Programm downloaden soll, aber minutenlang tut sich: NICHTS! Abgebrochen und tschüss! Von der Hersteller-Seite bekommt man dies auch nur gegen eine E-Mail-Adresse. Nein, danke! Liebe Firma EASEUS: Schiebt Euch das doch in den afternoon, so gewinnt man keine Kunden.

Ich finde das Programm heute sehr gut, da es mir wie gerufen kommt. Es ist deutsch einstellbar. Eine Boot-CD,DVD,USB-Stick zu erstellen ist möglich oder aber man nutzt eine andere Festplatte oder Partition zum sichern seines Betriebsystems oder Teile davon. Partitionen und Windows kann man retten ohne großen Aufwand. Daumen hoch und Danke.
