No bad at all...can quickly find duplicate files by CONTENT rather than by name, giving users the ability to select type ans size of files. It also sports a cool and unique "color marks" feature to highlight adjacent duplicate file groups.

So 30 BUCKS?? hmmmmmm....==> LOL!!
Bubba, don't be daft,deleting (even if you are not a "top class programmer") duplicate word files, pdfs.j-pegs,mp3s,etc etc will not cause the world to stop. Files within programs sure, leave them alone. But that's not this program is aimed at. For example it found 4 copies of the same instruction manual I had saved at different times then forgotten.

Right: for the system files (such as DLL, OCX), there are some duplicates originally , by usual, you should retain them. This files are stored in the system drive by usual.
Correct: for the user files (such as audio, video or picture files), removing the redundant files can recover your valuable disk space, reduce the management costs and avoid the unnecessary confusion.

Normally I'm comparing folders (!) containing pics etc. on different drives. Therefore this software isn't useful for me.
My favorite is free CloneSpy. You can pool folders and compare within this pool or to folders in a second pool. Automatic or manually or list of files.

Aua, das tut wirklich weh. Jetzt outet sich sogar PC-Welt und verbreitet diesen Bockmist und verlinkt sich mit GotD. Ich steige um auf die Zeitschrift Chip. Hat wohl bei PC-Welt einen Führungswechsel gegeben. Hirnamputationen scheinen langsam in Mode zu kommen.

Allein schon der Preis ist eine bodenlose Frechheit, für einen solchen Mist. JEDE Freeware die ein Datei Management anbietet hat so ganz nebenbei eine solche Funktion.

Das tool hat im Original eine Größe von 376 KB. Wieso dann einen Schadsoftbrocken mit 9,55 MB laden? Duplicate File Finder - macht mein Total Commander ganz nebenbei, da brauche ich kein eigenständiges, englisches tool für. $30, eine total utopische Preisvorstellung. Ihr dürft es behalten, Daumen runter, den Tag genießen und natürlich vielen Dank!

Nicht gut! Man kann nur die ganze Festplatte auswählen, keine einzelnen Verzeichnisse! Bei einer 2 TB-Platte und 200000 Dateien darauf könnte das etwas länger dauern! Suche ist auch sehr langsam! System Drive,
CD Drive, Network Drive kann man bei der Suche exkludieren, nur,
was bringt das ohne "echte" Verzeichnisauswahl? Man kann verschiedene Dateigrößen und -Formate auswählen, nur, was bringt das ohne "echte" Verzeichnisauswahl?
Ausprobiert, läuft (sehr langsam), gelöscht. Beta-Version erfolgreich getestet und für zu schlecht befunden. "Findet in Sekundenschnelle doppelte Dateien" ist eine unverschämte Werbelüge! Ciao!

Kann anscheinend nicht mal in bestimmten Ordnern sondern nur ganze Laufwerke durchsuchen. Ein Blick auf die Screenshots genügt: nein, danke! Bleibe lieber bei meiner bewährten Freeware.
