Yet another single format version of Dimo Video Converter Ultimate with all the usuall GUI faults like unrealisticly high preset video bitrates in the codec templates and pointless dumb webserver component that no ordinary smart tv can use and which cannot have instantiated servers stopped without shutting down the entire executable.
Under windows Vista a supposedly supported version of windows the installation process ends with the spawning of a file in the users temp folder called B319F132-73B7-4B84-B3D8-A4E053BBAD48.exe which apears to be a windows 7 and above only installer for ffmpeg which obviously does not run under Vista as it uses exports in Kernel32.dll not present in Vista... May I suggest that Dimo install themselves a virtual machine with windows vista SP2 that they don't need to activate if they don't have a spare vista license lying around on an old OEM machines certificate of authenticity ... and try installing their products on all the versions of windows they wish to support.
Also this does not appear to have had its GUI completely edited down for this single format file converter as they left the "Make ISO" button on the front screen which makes no sense on a MXF file converter and to prove the point try it... press the button and an entry for an ISO file apears and prompts you for a destination folder ... and give it a folder on a drive with a few hundred gigabytes free space on it which is enough for any burnable ISO file even a BD ISO file... and press the go or convert button (not sure what it is called as the GUI does not render fully legibly under remote desktop... and it complains:
"No enough space to save output file(s)
current save foler is:C:\Users\Username\My Backups.iso
we need 467.87G space to finish this task."
Firstly there are no input files to create the ISO with! Secondly the current save folder is actually Y:\My Backups\ and thirdly exactly what media uses an ISO file greater than 400GBytes in size!?! Not to mention the spelling mistooks!
Also why is the ytdownloader bundled with this? It does work but der you cannot download MXF files from youtube so this cannot convert the downloaded youtube files... steeeerange!
Oh one more thing when adding a file the file selection dialogue SHOULD set the dialogue file type filter to *.MXF and any other MXF compatible file extension name and NOT as it currently is *.* which shows every file type visible within windows file explorer which is counterproductive since no other file type is usable in this program so why show them in the file selection dialogue and potentially bury the *.mxf files one is supposed to trying to find!
Installation and activation: easy.
Loading a video and choosing output etc: also easy:

Then the first conversion the GOTD-program disappeared.
Later a conversion was OK:

Also some other conversions did worked well, but the results could not be found.
A search in Win10 gave a solution, AppData of the user:

Ralf, was MXF ist, findet man bei Wikipedia. Es ist ein Containerformat, dass den Umgang mit professionellen Videoformaten vereinfachen soll. Für die meisten dürfte es eher uninteressant sein. Interessanter ist die Tatsache, dass Dimo hier wieder mal nur ein Scheibchen aus seiner Videomate-Converter-Suite, deren Komplettversion immer wieder mal hier erhältlich war, anbietet.
