Clair (#2)- TrueCrypt is an encryption program which creates a secure volume in which to store your documents - it is not a database. They are totally different programs, with unrelated functionality.
Just a word of caution, sadly as a result of experience.
When storing passwords in an encrypted proprietary system you must be confident that it will be supported in the future. This means it is best to use a system that has been around for a considerable time.
Today's offering is merely a method of producing an encrypted database and little else, plenty of freeware to do that, OpenOffice, LibreOffice.

Die Registrierungen werden immer abstruser !
Erst einen Acount auf der WebSite erstellen u.A. mit dem Password aus
dem Giveaway Paket (da sammelt wohl jemand email-Adressen; was soll das ??) - dann das Programm per Link herunterladen und installieren.
Ergebnis: ein äusserst spartanisches Programm welches ich sofort wieder gelöscht habe - da gibt es wahrlich besseres.
Blowfish-Verschlüsselung ist wohl kaum brauchbarer Standard -
warum keine AES256-Verschlüsselung ?

1. Wahrscheinlich würde sich die Welt wohl nicht mehr drehen, wenn man so wichtige Dinge wie "Adressbuch, Weihnachten-Shoppingliste (selten so gelacht!) usw." nicht verschlüsselt, denn:
2. Beim Neuaufsetzen des Systems, PC-Neukauf o.ä. darfst Du dann wohl für das Programm blechen, um an Deine Daten zu kommen.
Moderne Raubrittermethoden - wenn Verschlüsselung, dann nur mit einer SW die jederzeit zur Verfügung steht.

Warum der Download von der Herstellerseite 11,7 MB hat und dieser von GOTD 20,7 MB, kann mir wahrscheinlich mal wieder keiner Erklären.
Solange ich das nicht weis, werde ich das Programm auch nicht nutzen.
Ausserdem, warum soll ich meine Mailadressen verschlüsseln oder sonstiges, kann jeder sehen bei mir, ist nichts illegales dabei.

Die Software kann nicht aktiviert werden, wenn du hinter einem Proxy sitzt. Als Kaufversion kann dann zwar eine vorlizenzierte Setupdatei beauftragt werden. Na ja. Testen konnte ich daher nicht, bleibe daher bei meinem geliebten KEEPASS http://keepass.info/ free4ever
