You have to jump through hoops to get the used id/unlock code, sign up for their site, give personal information, agree to spam mail. I got this message:
You will now receive your user ID (customer number) and your personal unlock code via e-mail, I got it and put it in, installed the program and it says 30 day trial version Activate with Licence key. So after all that, Where is the license key???
For what time period is today's present? Half a year, one year .... ???
Franzis giveaways should always have a great big "FRANZIS" across the whole page, so that you know it is worth getting, but also that they are such a pain to register. They are very fussy about what email addresses they accept and they make you jump through so many hoops.

That's not what I experienced. I already had the Standard version installed on my machine. I had no problems installing today's PRO version on the same machine with the Registration code I was sent ( which arrived instantly after requesting it). The PRO version installed separately from Standard version and I can still choose to run either the Standard or the PRO version independently.
That was about the most complicated, confusing, and even deceptive registration process I've seen here at GOTD. The deceptive part: When you're instructed to enter all that personal info, actually the *only* required info is your email. (There's an almost invisible notice with the [ * ] at the bottom of the page, and the email field is the only one with it.) It appears to be a quality program -- why do they need to resort to all this?

Runtergeladen -> Setup gestartet -> Konto im Internet angelegt -> Lizenzschlüssel bekommen und während setup eingegeben -> Installation fertig gestellt. -> Wurde dann aufgefordert, den Lizenzschlüssel einzugeben. Hab mich diesbezüglich gewundert, hatte ihn doch schon kurz vorher eingegeben -> OK, noch einmal eingegeben -> Bekam dann den Hinweis, dass dieser ungültig sei, und ich mit der 30 Tage Testlizenz fortfahren will
Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: hab nur ne 30 Tage Testlizenz bekommen, obwohl ich den Lizenzschlüssel wie gefordert 2x eingegeben hab -> Software wieder deinstalliert -> Daumen runter...

Great program, that can do much more than just cut out. I worked with the "standard" version for some years and liked it. Now I can see, what the pro version is able to do. Download and registration is a little tricky, but not more tricky than start the computer.
