This Software seems to be causing real trouble for some user's. They say the program is slowing down your pc badly, some programs are unable to work properly, or slow down in a bad way, and so on. 3 of 4 users on this page say: don't install it, or you will get a lot of troble, even in the latest version!!!

You have stated "this version will be valid for 6 months and is provided with any updates and support for this period!". Does that mean that after 6 months this gotd version of BufferZone would:-
1) neither work, nor receive update nor receive support
OR
2) after 6 months this gotd version(i.e. BufferZone) would work but not be eligible for update or support?

If you're running Vista or higher with decent security software, this is unnecessary and their trojan demo is fake scareware.
Firefox users will claim that Firefox is safer, but IE8 with IE DEP, UAC, and Protected Mode actually operates at a higher security level. Protected Mode is similar to a sandbox.
IE 8 Beta 2 security test. Note the usual bias. They counted vulnerabilities in all versions of IE over two years, but only counted those in Firefox over six months. Note that they say that all IE8 processes run virtualized on Vista and higher.
Secunia 2008 Report (PDF). Note the number of vulnerabilities by browser in 2008 on page 11, figure 3. Note that IE 5, 6, and 7 were lumped together.
I tried their trojan demo on Vista, running from IE8's download prompt, as well as downloading first and running independently. It can't do anything without your permission. I ran from an Administrator account, without giving it explicit administrator privileges. Guess what? Its own logs show that Vista, even without other security software, blocks most of it. Nothing else was launched, nothing else was terminated, access to system files and processes was blocked. After termination, Vista will tell you that the trojan demo needs Administrator Privileges, which obviously you should never grant to unknown processes. It tells you that it sent your filenames out, but that's a lie. My security software clearly indicates that it didn't communicate over the Internet in any way. It locally reads your filenames. So what? Unless you click Attack Results, no Internet communication has occurred via any method. If you click that, your security software will block it (if you have decent security software). They tell you to explicitly allow the trojan demo Internet access. Why would you allow an unknown program or process Internet access? Like I said, it can't do squat without your permission.
As for BufferZone itself, any virtualization/sandboxing type utility will interfere with your security software, which normally can't see into virtual environments. That may leave you vulnerable to some types of attacks, such as screen capture.
@20 - Fubar. The infoworld article on browser security talks only about discovered vulnerabilities (how many). The Secunia document more correctly looks at how many vulnerabilities are unpatched - and for how long they have remain unpatched (or those that were 'fixed' - how many days it took either Microsoft or Mozilla to address).
On one hand if the two browsers each have 50 and 100 vulnerabilities - you might think that the '50' is safer, until you discover that 30 of those 50 have no patch available - and haven't for almost a year. The browser with 100 discovered issues - has had 98 of them patched and addressed - and none of them took longer than 20 days from discovery to the release of a fix.
...and of course we can only compare vulnerabilities that have been made public.

**While working with files and directories that contain international characters in languages other than English, BufferZone might be unable to handle the files correctly.
**Kaspersky 7 might display warnings originating from valid BufferZone activities.This might also explain the stated problems in the link of #1. Writing German language contain some different characters than English.
This is a very nice application that makes working on your pc much more safe, but unfortunatly, i quote "NB: this version will be valid for 6 months and is provided with any updates and support for this period!"

Habe ca. 10h lang müssen versuchen, mein Computer zureparieren.
Bluescreen beim Booten:
Schaltet Computer wieder aus, [F8] -> "Abgesicherter Modus" -> Treiber "redlight.sys" aus "C:\Windows\System32\drivers" löschen!!!
Das erspart einigen Ärger, falls ihr auch den Fehler bekommt ;)

das program war ja der größte mist! alle die keine it profis waren, bei denen rucketlte die kiste.
komisch, nach installation und herunter fahren, zeigte mein computer updats an, obwohl ich kein adm. ok gegeben hatte und windows mir auch kein update vorher angezeigt hatte!
das ende vom lied...
nach der installation und neustart, schwarzer bildschirm beim hochfahren.
mein lapi bootete nur noch im abgesicherten modus.
hab´s dann von dort auch gleich verbannt.
vorsicht ist geboten!!!

Nicht ausgereifte Software von No-Name-Anbietern. Egal, sollen ihre Chance bekommen.
Im Ansatz war das hier gar nicht sooo schlecht, wirklich nicht.
Auf Englisch, aber damit hätte man dank der Funktions-Armut leben können.

Operationssystem--> Das bedeutet, die Software ist nur über Not-OP vom Rechner zu entfernen. ;-)

Eine virtuelle Maschine testet "ditto" also in einer virtuellen Maschine aus, und installiert dann auch Treiber für die Treiber, damit die Treiber die Treiber antreiben. - soweit könnte das Perpetuum machina noch funktionieren, wenn nicht gerade explizite Windows-Restriktionen dagegen wären.
Dieses Tool möchte gerne Returnil / Sandboxie / VirtualPC auf einmal sein, ... und ist 'ne Flachzange.
( @Monitor: wobei ich bei Returnil auch Schwierigkeitein hatte mit dem Laptop-Chipsatz )

Da gab es auf diesem Sektor schon zweimal das Programm RETURNIL, ich verwende bis heute die Fassung vom 30.Dez.2008 mit bestem Erfolg, leider läuft auch dieses ab, und zwar am 17. Jänner 2010.
Werde mir dann den ShadowDefender anschaun, sah diesen bisher nicht im GAOTD.

ach schluffi, wenn dein englisch genauso gut wäre...
Da steht extra "and is NOT provided with" - also nix mit Support und Updates.
Ich hatte die die erste Ausgabe von hier, nach anfänglicher Neugier
und Ausprobierens habe ich das dann wieder gekickt. Man kann damit
wesentlich mehr anstellen als mit Sandboxie, das betrifft besonders
die Adobe-Produkte, die allesamt nicht in Sandboxie laufen, jedenfalls
nicht bei mir, default.
Was ich dann irgendwann herausfand, dass BZ in allen genutzten Ordnern
ADS/Alternate Data Streams hinterlässt. Von den anderen kleinen Bugs
zu schweigen, die die damalige Version hatte. Da es dort auch keine
Updates gab, verschwand es halt und heute nutze ich Sandboxie
und oder Images, um hartnäckige Software loszuwerden.
Als Alternative könnte man auch DeepFreez oder ShadowProtect nennen,
die funktionieren auch mit der Softwareliste von oben (blog).
Dass BZ solche Probleme mit aktueller Sicherheitssoftware hat, ist
mehr als Daumen runter - trotzdem ein (+) für das Angebot, austesten
kann man es ja immer, und sei es nur mit einer VM oder Image ;)
PS dass es nur für 32bit ist, ist kein Nachteil, Sandboxie, DefenseWall
und ähnliche gibt es auch nicht für 64 bit, sie können dort keinen
vollständigen Schutz bieten.
Wer also unbekannte Software testen will, sollte dort zwingend auf
eine VM setzen - oder reichlich Images.

Nach Installation und Neustart bekam ich einen BlueScreen. Auslöser war die "redlight.sys".
-> Systemwiederherstellung
-> Neustart
-> ZIP-Datei 20-fach geshreddert !
Vielleicht sollte man dieses Programm auch nur unter VirtualPC oder Sandboxie laufen lassen :-9

Es gibt keine Updates während den sechs Monaten. Das macht doch nichts, im Text steht es braucht keine Updates um mich zu schützen. Spass bei Seite, sowas kommt mir nicht mal im Traum auf die Platte. Da gibts genügend kostenlose Alternativen welche nicht nach sechs Monaten den kompletten PC crashen.

Vermutlich KEIN Scherz... Aber als GRATIS-VOLLVERSION wird das wohl nicht durchgehen. Ist doch quasi Shareware mit erweitertem Zeitfenster.
