Niemand mag kaputte Links! Es ist eine recht unangenehme Erfahrung für eure Webseiten-Besucher.
Google empfiehlt, eure Webseite regelmäßig auf fehlerhafte Links zu überprüfen. Es manuell zu tun wäre jedoch ein Albtraum! Broken Link Detector führt einen umfassenden Scan durch, der nach defekten Links sucht. Es ist allgemein bekannt, dass defekte Links sich negativ auf eure Website auswirken, da nicht nur die Benutzererfahrung beeinträchtigt ist, sondern auch das Gesamtranking leidet, da Suchmaschinen eure Seite nicht indizieren. Sobald ihr das Programm auf eurem Computer installiert habt, werdet ihr von einem bequemen Benutzerinterface begrüßt, das praktisch selbsterklärend ist.
Am oberen Rand des Hauptfensters könnt ihr die URL einfügen, die das Tool analysieren soll, mit der Möglichkeit, den Scan an einer beliebigen Stelle anzuhalten, indem ihr auf eine spezielle Schaltfläche zurückgreift. Um genauer zu sein, kann die App nur den Domainnamen überprüfen, den Subdomainnamen oder alle Domainnamen, mit der Möglichkeit, auch unseren rekursiven URL-Scan zu führen. Wenn ihr fortgeschrittene Benutzer seid, möchtet ihr vielleicht einen Blick auf die oben genannten zusätzlichen Optionen werfen, so dass ihr die Verbindung und Antwort-Timeout, den Agenten und die ignorierten Erweiterungen verwalten könnt.

If you are hoping that this will scan the bookmarks in your browser and check the links then this will not be for you.
You have to enter the links yourself and check.
Useful for those with websites that want to check for errors in links.

Sorry guys. Installed, tested and deleted.
Has bugs, unable to construct links properly in complex sites. I was scared when I saw showing up so many "broken links".
Please don't ask for details. I'm not Beta tester.

I don't like the way this software works - but it does work.
I tested it on my website and had 2 options - there's a button that says: recursive url … if I didn't tick it then it wouldn't check my site past the home page - so it was pointless to me.
If I checked the recursive option - it was running through to the pages that I link to and wanting to check all the links on those pages too - in other words - I link to Amazon and if you go to that page there will be 100s of links to other Amazon products / promotions etc. It seemed to be picking all those up too. Same with Google Play. So although in theory it worked - I stopped it when it got to 2 700 links - as with every link checked that list was just growing.
There is an option to exclude certain sites - but then you're going to have to fill in every external site you link to in that list - for me that would be more trouble than it's worth.
Also on a number of the links to Amazon it showed "service unavailable" but I could copy and paste that link and it was working fine - opened the page immediately. Not sure then what "service unavailable" actually meant.
