Installed without problems on a Win 8.1 pro 64 bit system.
Could not register, simply due to the fact, that the program cannot be started correctly. After start, the program consumes 28.2 % of my CPU time, 12,3 MB of RAm and loops without displaying an interface. Can only be cancelled with the task manager. Restarted -> the same.
A ridiculous version 2.0. Must be a writing error, this is version 0.2 of a young company (2012) without name and address.
Uninstalled via reboot.
Sorry that I could not verify the claim : AthTek Registry Cleaner performs exactly as a stable and clean system tool. It works stably in your system and repair registry errors for your sake.
download fast, setup and registration was a breeze on my Windows 8 Dell N5050 laptop, scan was extremely fast, found nearly 3000 issues, does not tell what the invalid entries are, just lists basic registry did the repair, and now most of my Windows 8 tiles don't work, had to use the registry restore to get things back to normal, BAD SOFTWARE!!!! uninstalled
The only program I was allowed to touch my registry Is Wise Registry Cleaner which is free.
The reason I use this is it marks items which are safe to remove from those which it is not sure about and removes the former unless requested otherwise.
My old machine, put to rest because the hardware failed, had XP installed for just short of eight years without being reinstalled this one four years, so I know that this choice registry cleaner is safe.
The problem with the monstrosity of the registry is you don't know what's in there, some programs have information that is critical for them to be able to function, many programmers dump information unnecessarily.
In essence the registry is similar to a minefield and should be treated with the same caution.
When I see problems in which a registry cleaner will not run properly on some computers there is no way on God's earth that I will allow it near my registry!
I had exactly the same result as Karl. The program downloaded quickly, and installed even more quickly. The procedure for getting the registration code was also fast and efficient. But then - the program wouldn't run on my Windows 8.1 64-bit system. You might say that it was a waste of time ....

Das Problem ist, dass man überflutet mit so ähnlichen Zeugen. Die Meinungen können daher nicht auf diese beziehen. Wenn eine Woche lang würde das Give a way Period dauern, würden die Beurteilungen eventuell realistischer sein.
Ich beütze es seit drei Tagen, und ich würde sagen, es ist wirklich "toll"!

Das ist auch bitter nötig!
Im übrigen ist der beliebte Volkssport "Registry bereinigen" so unsinnig wie ein Kropf: schon seit den Zeiten von XP werden ins Leere verweisende und verwaiste Registry-Einträge schlichtweg vom System ignoriert und bremsen entgegen den vollmundigen Behauptungen der Hersteller solcher Tools wie diesem hier nicht das System aus.
Was das System in Wirklichkeit ausbremst, sind die unzähligen, z. T.unsinnigen Programme und Progrämmchen, die sich so mancher Zeitgenosse ihne Sinn und Verstand auf seine Festplatte bannt!

Findet sehr viele angebliche Fehler aber ohne jegliches Detaill.Es kommt nur eine Basis-Liste mit der Auffoderung zun Reparieren. sehr viel Konsum CPU und Mb/Ram. Unstabil. Schlechte Software.

Das Tool startet nicht! Es steht zwar im Task-Manager und die CPU läuft mit 80%, aber auch nach 5 Min. startet das Programm nicht!
Ich nutze als Virenschutz Kaspersky und der ist immer recht sensibel, was Reg-Tools betrifft. Kann bei mir also auch am Virenschutz liegen.

"If you have removed some registry entries by mistake, or you find some application cannot be started...". Klar doch: Nach dem Putzen werde ich alle Programme durchprobieren, ob diese sich noch öffnen! Da hab´ ich Stunden sinnvolen Zeitvertreib...nein, danke! Bei Programmen, welche man nur sporadisch öffnet guckt man dann in vielleicht einem Monat in die Röhre wenn es nicht startet.
Finger weg von solchen Systemzerstör-Tools - ein paar veraltete Registry-Einträge mehr jucken Windows überhaupt nicht und die ungefährlichen lassen sich mit CCleaner kostenlos wunderbar entfernen. Der macht auf Wunsch auch eine Sicherung...
