This GAOTD looks like an extremely powerful and very professional video converter software, especially suitable for Blu-ray 3D movies junkies...
So if you can't live without watching a blu-ray movies in 3D this is the right tool for you!
But, as I said yesterday, the VIDEO CONVERSION "field" is a pretty much saturated "arena" nowadays....do you agree with me dudes??

Aiseesoft is an automatic turn-off for me. By midday there will be a laughably skewed ratio of thumbs up votes to comments critical of the product, along with the usual obvious shill comments. At day's end the thumb's up will exceed 1,000, the only developer I've seen rate that high and still have so many complaints about the software. It happens every time with these guys. How pathetic to have to resort to such tactics to get people to try your product. This is not a company I would ever do business with.
When I attempted to load a file, Zemana AntiLogger reported that the program was attempting to access my webcam... If I blocked the access, the program exited.
Can the Developer please explain why this program needs to access my (any) webcam as an input source?

I purchased Aiseesoft Total Media Converter platinum using todays GiveAwayOfTheDay coupon "AISAY", and paid the money by credit card
The download link provided today after paying is for Total Media Converter platinum 6.3.06, which is an old version !
The version if you download the trial from the website is 6.3.10.
Im not impressed, ordering and paying for the software with the GiveAwayOfTheDay offer and being sent an old version.

During my installation I got this message:

Wie an jedem Tag so auch heute kann man die ersten Kommentare allesamt überlesen. Da geben sich einige Ahnungslose gerne kritisch, nur um potentielle Nutzer vom Download abzuhalten
Diese Software lässt sich nicht durch Freeware ersetzen - schön wär's.
Diese Software produziert keine briefmarkengroßen Videos sondern alle gewünschten Formate vom Handydisplay bis 1920x1080 HD.
Diese Software arbeitet zuverlässig und problemlos mit guten Ergebnissen.
Wie die bisher von Aiseesoft hier verschenkten Programme arbeitet auch dieses zuverlässig. Es konvertiert übrigens nicht nur in .mkv, es sind auch andere Formate und Container möglich.

Habe das Prgm. mit der BD "Vorstadtkrokodile3" getestet. Das Rippen nach MKV (HD) funktioniert einwandfrei ! Leider läßt sich der "Codierer" nicht wie bei einigen wenigen anderen Prgm. abschalten und so der Originalcode unverändert in ein anderes Containerformat (mkv) kopieren.
Man kann Videos schneiden und zusammenfügen, croppen sowie Kontrast, Helligkeit etc. manipulieren. Es fehlt bei mkv eine Möglichkeit zur Kapitelerstellung ! Es kann immer nur eine Audio oder Untertitelspur übernommen werden. Insgesamt sehr einfach zu bedienen. Könnte man den Codierer, da wo es möglich ist, abschalten wäre das ein tolles Prgm., aber so ......

Wie seit Jahren üblich lassen die Chinesen von Aiseesoft einen Bot laufen, der die Daumen immer über 80% hält. Sieht man sich die Beiträge der letzten Zeit genauer an, so ist die Summe der Bewertungen bei diesem Aiseesoft-Müll plötzlich etwa 6mal so groß wie sonst.

Das Tool heute ist eigentlich, für den ders braucht (also ich), recht gut. Von mir gibts nen Daumen nach oben, weil es meines Wissens nach keine Freeware gibt, die 3D-Blu-Rays in beliebige Formate umwandelt (mit der Auswahl für SBS oder Anaglyph). Ob das Ganze hier in D legal ist, scheint fraglich, weil hier der Kopierschutz der BluRays ausgehebelt wird... Mir ist´s egal...

Gleichwerige Freeware die zu MKV rippt gibt es genausowenig wie solche die zusätzlich noch nach Pseudo-3D konvertiert.
Interessant ist immer wieder, daß der Troll Unsinn behauptet, aber keine Beweise dafür erbringt. Naja kann der Ärmste ja auch nicht.

BlueRay - MKV ist neu. Am 26.05.2012 gabs bereits den Total Media Converter Platinum der sehr gut ist. Zu MKV aus WIKI:
Matroska, nach rus. Matrjoschka, ist ein Containerformat für Audio- und Videodaten. Matroska-Dateien haben entweder die Endung .mkv für Videodaten oder .mka für reine Audiodaten. Für Untertitel wird die Endung .mks verwendet, während für dreidimensionale Inhalte die Endung .mk3d eingeführt wurde. Matroska unterstützt verschiedene Videocodecs, unter anderem MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, RealVideo, WMV, Theora, Dirac, und Audiocodecs, beispielsweise AAC, AC3, DTS, WAV, MP3, Vorbis, FLAC, sowie zusätzliche Formate für Untertitel (VobSub) und erweiterte Metainformationen.
Ich hoffe Aseesoft macht das so, wie beim letzten Mal, um zu umgehen, was uns alle stört an GAOTD.

Das hier ist doch schonmal besser. Zwar noch nicht wirklich zufriedenstellend, aber wiegesagt besser als der Schund der letzten Wochen und Monate. Anscheinend habt ihr die Drohung mit dem Anwalt ernst genommen. Das heißt aber nicht, dass die Sache noch nicht vom Tisch ist. Zwei Wochen werde ich mir den "Spaß" hier noch angucken, dann wird entschieden, ob ein Anwalt eingeschaltet wird oder nicht.

- aktuelle Versionen
- keine Zwangsregistrierung
- für Mainstream geeignet
- kein Schadcode (!)

Super, endlich ein MKV Ripper. Dann kann ich meine ganzen Blu-ray endlich auf meinem Nokia anschauen. Heute ist der download nur 32 MB groß. Woche der Konverter ;) Auch dieser Konverter ist grundsätzlich einer welcher beliebig durch gleichwertige Freeware ersetzbar ist. Lediglich die Möglichkeit Filme in das 3D Format umzuwandeln heben ihn technisch etwas von Freeware ab. Allerdings sind die Ergebnisse einer Umwandlung eines Films in 2D in das 3D Format mehr als bescheiden bis unbrauchbar. Aber dies ist ja auch klar, fehlende Bildinfomaitonen einer normal benötigten zweiten Kamera können nun mal nicht so einfach berechnet werden. Ein Konverter welcher nichts besitzt was überhaupt einen Verkauf der Software rechtfertigt, Freeware kann mindestens gleich viel wie dieser angebotene Konverter. Er ist weder besonders schnell, die Qualität ist weder besser noch schlechter als bei Freeware (Der verwendete Codec bestimmt die Qualität, nicht die Software welche den Codec benutzt), die Möglichkeiten der Feinabstimmung sind aber bei Freeware oftmals um Längen besser. Fazit: Ein Konverter den man getrost vergessen kann.
