Ok, it does what it say, but in my opinion a software that only merge, not have the ability to cut, is rather useless.

True, but so far I have not had a single movie that I do not want to cut somewhere. It is the same if it is my own movies or someone others if I want to merge, I also want to cut.
the GAOTD ZIP contains the key
registers simply with the provided email/key
drag & drop (only) the clips into Video Joiner
BUT you cannot rearrange the clips,
so if you drag 1, 3, 2 instead of 1, 2, 3
the pieces will be joined in 1, 3, 2 order!
DUMB!
clips that should have joined losslessly,
(without re-encoding), were re-encoded
STUPID!
website says:

but that is not the case, from what I saw
no PAUSE button, only a STOP
UI is kind of dark, for my weary eyes
it did work, but as is it is a total waste of time & resources
given that it did not work losslessly
(& given that it could, with my testcase)
its output cannot be equivalent to the source files as it re-encoded them
i'll stick with FFmpeg, "Concatenating media files" that way

so what took many minutes with this Joiner,
took only a few seconds with FFmpeg
now granted, this was a join with multiple clips
"with exactly the same codec and codec parameters"
making a direct concatentation (without re-encoding) viable
had they not been of the same codecs/paramenters,
then any software would need to re-encode the clips
the codec settings of Video Joiner are pretty lame...
lack of "as original" settings for many of the settings,
thereby making you specifically choose particular settings,
which may or may not be meaningful...
provided codecs are dated
& while nothing necessarily "wrong" with that, you would think that offering current version of the codecs, they may be able to handle additional, newer codecs that didn't exist at the time, & or have picked up on bug fixes ...
it worked, but that's about the only worthwhile thing i can say about Video Joiner
