abylon CRYPTDRIVE erzeugt sogenannte Containerdateien, die mit den bekannten Verschlüsselungsalgorithmen AES oder Blowfish gesichert sind. Nur wenn der entsprechende Schlüssel verwendet wurde, tauchen die gesicherten Daten im Datei-Explorer auf. Ein Schlüsselpasswort kann sowohl über die Tastatur, als auch über eine Chipkarte, einen USB-Stick oder ein Zertifikat eingegeben werden. Wird Cryptdrive geöffnet, werden die enthaltenen Dateien im zugewiesenen Laufwerk angezeigt und können bearbeitet werden.

Unless you have really really very sensitive data, such vaults are dangerous to create. If you lose the chip card, USB stick or certificate or your HD crashes, there is no way to ever get your data back. If you update windows, such drives may not be accessible again, it happen to me on similar software in the past. Stay with simple file or folder encryption with typed password, it is much safer and you can make backups and copies of such files on regular bases.

Was sent registration info, no problem, but when I filled out the data required it says ' Incorrect info' , uninstalled after 10 tries. Does anyone have this problem or a solutoin please, Thanks!

First would not accept the registration I received in my email. It's also very hard to understand how to use. I think it may be the translation to English that makes it harder to use than is necessary. Terminology is odd to understand I guess. Thanks GAOTD and Abylonsoft for the opportunity to try this out.

Dean, I could not register at all. Uninstalled, after 30 / 45 minutes of trying. You expect with the two keys, that it is easy indeed. And on top of that, it seems they don't like it installed with a VPN. What makes no sense to me.
