RoboImport - ein Muss für alle Fotografen und Besitzer von Digitalcameras, hilft euch RoboImport beim Automatisieren zeitraubender Fotoaufgaben. So werden eure Fotos direkt von der Kamera bzw. der Memory-Karte übertragen, umbenannt und bereits beim Transfer auf den PC editiert.
RoboImport hilft euch, Bilder in bedeutungsvolle Verzeichnisse einzuordnen, Dateien umzubenennen, Fotos ohne Verluste zu drehen, euer Copyright-Zeichen und Beschreibungen direkt in DNG/IPTC/XMP-Felder einzufügen, Bilder zu sichern, RAW-Dateien ins DNG-Format zu konvertieren und den Bildern sogar die entsprechenden GPS-Koordinaten (Breitengrad, Längengrad, Höhe) basierend auf den GPS-Receiver-Logs hinzuzufügen. Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system.

The latest news from 04.10.2010. It doesn't seem, that things are moving very fast.
A useful tool, if you don't have AND USE a "downloader" from your camera company, like e.g. Canon's ZoomBrowser or Sony's Play Memories or Nikons...
In the settings you can define every possible file structure for downloading the images, you can add your IPTC data like copyright or collection info, you can backup your imported photos automatically and GPS tag your pictures, if you have a GPS receiver log and if your camera does not automatically store GPS data from en external or built-in receiver.
Of course the program does not only import photos from a camera, you can "import" and sort your exiting pictures to a useful directory structure - if you don't have any and store all your pictures under C:/user/xxx/pictures...
Does what it claims. The benefit is more to give your existing pictures a new folder structure.
I have since years a clear structure and a working catalog solution.
Uninstalled via reboot - I would keep it, if I would need to restructure my picture collection.
The light-weight version of the RoboImport is now the part of the Daminion Photo Manager, that is under active developement since 2008: http://daminion.net
The Free Daminion version allows you to import up to 15'000 files per one local catalog, while you create unlimited local catalogs.

Bestimmt kein Muss für alle Fotografen. Dazu benötige ich kein umständliches tool ohne deutsche Oberfläche! Wäre das tool wirklich gut, könnte man es verkaufen und müsste es nicht auf dieser Promoplattform rausjodeln. Kein Dank!
