If you don't have Microsoft Powerpoint installed on your PC, don't bother downloading this software! It won't work!
It would have been nice to KNOW that little tidbit of information before I went to the trouble of downloading, installing, and activating it - and then UNinstalling it. :(
Oh well - there's always tomorrow!
smooth download, installation, activation on win7 32-bit. Was excited and looking forward to converting PPT doc to flip book - but MS PPT must be installed - would be nice if Flip PPT would allow conversion of PPT docs (created by Open Office or Libre Office, versus MS PPT program) to flipbook - as many people, nowadays, prefer these open-source programs versus bloated MS programs.
Oh well, thanks anyway GOTD & FLIP PDF Studio.
good freeware option: Author Point Lite
This software is very good and very useful especially for web marketers, teachers and online tutors, as long as you have a copy of OFFICE installed in your PC, of course !!
....but....
....once again I noticed that this GAOTD is just the STANDARD (limited) EDITION of the program, which is better than nothing, of course!!
Anyway, OPEN OFFICE users can download and use this FREE GREAT ALTERNATIVE, that does more or less the same things as this GAOTD for FREE:

As for OFFICE users, honestly I don't know any FREE Software capable of creating a Flip book directly from a PPT file: so if you need such a program, don't miss this GAOTD out!!
However, it's possible to do that for FREE by simply turning your PPT file (and/or even your WORD and/or Excel document) into a PDF file using a free tool and then create FLIP BOOKS from your converted text document through another cool FREE software or with a free online application.

When stopping, it leaves behind two temporary and empty directories : flipbook and flipBuilder.
It really should clean up better after itself.
I've used this in the past and it does add flair to what could be an otherwise drab PowerPoint presentation. It won't help a bad presentation but it does make them look better.
There is one point to clear up though. It does work with OpenOffice or LibreOffice Presentation, just not in the ODT format. Remember to save your presentation in ppt or pptx format and this program will have no problems.

Bei mir funzt das Teil sehr gut. (Win7 64bit) Ist wirklich sehr speziell aber ich kann es brauchen um auf Webseiten so ein Effekt zu haben. OK PDF Flipping währe mir lieber aber mit etwas herum konvertieren geht das auch. Und speichere unter Oo einfach als .ppt ab das klappt es auch mit dem Flipbook. Daumen hoch.

Kann mich der Meinung von Spiritogre anschliessen. Ich kenne echt viele Leute aber keinen welcher noch Microsoft Office nutzt. Ausserdem haut dieser 3D Flash Flip Book FX niemanden mehr vom Hocker. Gähnen muss ich da. Schauen wir morgen wieder vorbei.

Leider UNBRAUCHBAR !!!, weil das Programm Microsoft Powerpoint benötigt. Ich habe das Open Office "Powerpoint" Ich ging davon aus, dass man Powerpoint-Dateien umwandeln kann, ohne PPT wirklich installiert zu haben. Schlecht auch, dass Open Office nicht unterstützt wird.
Schade, hab mich so gefreut. Das FlipBook für die Fotos bewährt sich nämlich.

Import einer 26 Seiten ppt abgebrochen, nach 2 erfolglosen Versuchen von je 30 Minuten.
Versuchte dann eine 12 Seitige pptx (Format ab office 2007). Leider wurden nur 10 Seiten convertiert. 2 Seiten blieben verschwunden.
Mein Urteil: wer Zeit zum Rumexperimentieren aufwenden will kann sich damit ausprobieren. Ergebnissicherheit ist etwas anderes.
vielleicht gelingt es ja bei wenig aufwendigeren Präsis!

Hallo erstmal und danke für so manche Perle, die wir hier ab und dann herunterpicken durften. GAOTD sollte einen Blick auf das Programm "AutoPlay Media Studio" von indigorose.com werfen.Eine interessante Anwendung, deren Personal Version bis vor Kurzem als Freeware vertrieben wurde. Es wäre nicht schlecht, wenn das Programm hier für einen Tag stehen würde. Vielleicht in der professional Version?

Das Programm heute wird sicher wieder die Gemüter spalten. Allerdings nicht, weil es schlecht wäre sondern, weil es doch eine ziemliche Spezialanwendung ist, die kaum jemand wirklich benötigt. Wer es brauchen kann, für den ist es allerdings eine sehr praktische Sache. Wobei anzumerken ist, dass die Oberfläche recht träge ist und einen flotten Rechner voraussetzt.
