Even if Ashraf's 'Cons' list contains only minor issues, it's worth mentioning them - and stop bashing him, he does put effort in providing us with useful information about the offered software. What do you whiners do?
The Good
* Straightforward and fairly easy to use.
* Has the typical partition management tools (resize, format, delete).
* You can change the letter and name of a partition.
* You can copy a whole hard drive or partition.
* Supports RAID.
* Works on hard disks of upto 2 TB in size.
* You can hide/unhide partitions.
* Has some "error checking" features.
* You can password protect the program.
* Copy dynamic disk feature.
* You can create a bootable disk.
* Has the ability to recover deleted/lost files and partitions.
The Bad
* The "extend NTFS partition without reboot" feature does not always work... it asks for reboot sometimes.
* Only supports Windows based partition formats (FAT, FAT32, NTFS) - no Linux or Mac.
* No option to not show existing files when using the file/partition recovery feature.
* The program window always opens up fully maximized.

A word of advice.
In windows 7 and Vista:
To shrink your active partition please use the "EaseusPartitionMasterPro" from within windows.
In other words,don't use the boot cd for this particular action,or you might be in for serious headache...

I'm using Easeus Partition Master Home Edition For a log time now , here is what Cnet said about it "A plucky little piece of freeware that packs a subtle punch, Easeus Partition Manager partitions hard drives like a reigning champ. Loaded with features, EPM runs smoothly and lacks only a glitzy interface.
A row of task icons sits on the toolbar, followed by a Windows XP-style left nav and central pane that shows your hard drives and information about them. To partition a disk, click on one of the drives and then use either the toolbar or the context menu to run the Resize feature. This brings up a slider for adjusting the drive volume sizes. You can also use the text fields to set a partition size precisely. Hit OK to run the resizing, and then run the Create feature. This will allow you format and label the partition in the newly-created empty space. While running, EPM will keeps you informed of the progress of the overall task, as well as the multiple steps it takes in partitioning your drive. A helpful color-key lives in the status bar at the bottom, divvying up drives by type as well as allocation use.
Other useful features include partition copying, a boot disk creator, a Properties option that will tell you everything from the physical geometry of the drive to the serial number, drive letter swapping, and password protection. I tried the home edition a few months ago for my laptop. My c-drive was almost full in spite of the fact that I don’t install programs in this partition. But some applications insist to put a lot of data in the c-drive even if you install them in a different drive.
Anyhow, with my heart beating like a Santana song, I tried Easeus. It worked like a charm. And I even changed the FAT32/NTFS problem of my external hard drives in order to partition them.

2 Stunden sind 2 Stunden die gebrauch wurden um die Festplatte um 5GB zu verkleinern und dabei 383GB Daten zu verschieben.
Ich kann nur aus eigener Erfahrung sprechen.
Partition MAgic musste damals ca 300GB bewegen, also vergleichbare Bedingungen und hat weitaus kürzer gebraucht.
Beide Programme übrigens installiert und nicht von Live-CD.

Meine Erfahrung ist genau umgekehrt:
Paragon und auch das heutige Tool sind beim verkleinern + verschieben + neue Partition erstellen - wesentlich(!) schneller als Partition Magic von einer Live-CD - und das unter kontrollierten Bedingungen mit einer forensisch geklonten Festplatte (also wirklich IDENTISCHE Bedingungen - die bei Dir wohl kaum vorlagen?!!)
Das kann(?) natürlich theoretisch auch an spezieller Kombination der vorhandnen Hardware liegen (Contoller-Chip, Festplattentyp, HD-Fabrikat)

Ich muss sagen, dass es mich gerade 2 Stunden gekostet hat eine Partition um 5GB zu verkleinern und meine Windowspartition zu vergrößern.
Mit Partition Magic und anderen Programmen dauert so etwas 10 Minuten (auf genau diesem Rechner schon probiert).
Ich werde nach diesem Test wieder zu Linux-Live Systemen oder anderen kostenlosen Varianten greifen…

In dieser kostenlosen Version wird das Erstellen einer bootable CD NICHT unterstützt. Das geht nur in den Kaufversionen. Steht so auch im Hilfe-Text. Schade, genau diese Funktion hätte das Toll interessant gemacht.

Eigentlich ein ganz gutes Programm
Etwas störend finde ich allerdings den Umstand, dass das Programm sich die Fenstergröße und Position nicht merkt und immer im Vollbild startet.
Schade auch, dass Ext-Dateisysteme nicht unterstützt werden.

och nö, beim letzten mal hatten die schwierigkeiten mit den umlauten.
noch mal teste ich das nicht. mag ja besser geworden sein, aber ein programm das man alle 4 jahre mal braucht, habe ich als funktionierende freeware "gparted".

Habe noch die 3.5-Version von GAOTD, da lohnt sich wohl mal ein update.
Eigentlich habe ich immer Paragon zum Partitionieren verwendet, aber als der letztens versagt hat, hat EASEUS den Job erstklassig erledigt.

Das ist ein sehr gutes Partitionierungswekzeug.
Hat bei mir schon lange Acronis abgelöst.

Erstklassiges Tool, von mir in der Homeversion unter Win 7 32bit Ultimate verwendet. Acronis hatte nichts im Angebot für Win 7, und Win 7 selber konnte wegen diverser Einschränkungen (Schattenkopien, Pagefile-Sys und anderer Kram werden so auf der Systempartition verteilt, dass am Ende eine Verkleinerung fast nicht möglich ist, oder ein Datenträger nur vergrößert (erweitert) werden kann wenn direkt hinter der zur vergrößerten Partition freier Speicherplatz vorhanden ist) nicht selber die Festplatte komplett neu aufteilen.
Easeus hat hier einen perfekten Dienst erwiesen.
